Yeah it must be resurfacing now bscause as I mentioned, when I did some looking I found comments from a few years ago. I am just pretty weirded out by how it has been swept under the rug and spoken about in hushed tones. It makes me uncomfortable, I think if they are still on the lineup I will be giving them a miss tbh

Rumours came out, it was pretty easily brushed off as ideological opposition due to their strong Irish Nationalism (if you know the story of K Koke, its similar but without the Irish angle and SA).

Theyre now very outspoken against Israel, and so for a fee of just $7,000, loads of content creators are regurgitating the same story but without the conclusion - floating it as an allegation and see what sticks.

Anyway, I came here to ask where the hell is any more names?? We are 6 months off and are expected to buy a ticket on the back of 19 names? Most of are repeat bookings over the last 5 years.

I personally find the stories believeable, but it's entirely up to you if you feel otherwise

Not sure trial by social media is the answer here

Haha interesting we both posted at the same time but had different take aways. I said this rules him out.

I agree that it’s makes it more unlikely than likely.

There must be some radius clause in this type of thing, Bristol and Reading are not far apart, the Bristol promoters won’t have signed him up if he’s playing another show just down the road for many in their catchment

You can believe what you want to believe, I can only tell you what I believe. Not saying it is true, just saying what I believe

Fair enough - on review not sure my comment was relevant to what you were saying really

Cardinals are playing Reading/Leeds. Next announcement “this week or next”.

Listened to their album today just out of interest as I'd seen a bit of hype about them, not sure how I managed to get through it all, singers voice went right through me😂, band sound alright.

Hopefully we'll get some decent acts on the announcement, really feels the least hyped festival edition I can remember and it's a Glastoless year (not that I think means much for R&L usual audience but does for us uncs)

Their social media strategy is interesting this year - it’s literally non existent

Tomorrow is the equivalent Thursday we got the 2nd announcement last year so let’s see. Unlikely imo as there’s a Creamfields announcement.

Due to be some Latitude names too, they usually announce around a similar time so maybe tomorrow?

Think Download is out too today / next few days (maybe even already out!)

Wilderness is still not in sight though after getting leaked a month ago !!

I'm not expecting much, but tbh I am very happy with the lineup already to the extent that it has already made a weekend ticket worth it for me even if there's nothing else of interest

This must be why they’ve cut the lineup by 50%, people seem to be happy to spunk £350 to be in the arena for about 4 hours a day

Price is going up, strength in depth is going down and people won’t vote with their feet. Wooed by six shiny names at the top.

    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
    • Couple of standing tickets left on ticketmaster if anyone is still trying
    • Choosing  I think boycotting a festival you would usually attend simply because you don't like one of the acts is pretty petulant to be honest, just go and watch a different stage. There are plenty of the usual slam dunk attendees who would be into him, as well as attracting new festivalgoers too.
