theyll probably have to headline her at that point because she will heave headlined everything else by then. already rumored for the Lolla South America run next spring. the current show is just under 90 minutes so there is no problem when it comes to set length. if she has new material by 27 then it can be a longer set and nobody can gripe about anything.

Even if her new album isn't for a few more years, if she releases a couple more singles by the time 2027 comes round she would be a perfectly suitable contender to headline. Haven't watched the full set from Reading yet but she looked terrific!

It's a weird one for me, some of her songs are absolutely grating, terrible stuff that I will skip if they come up on spotify, the worst kind of US crap pop and don't get me started on inserting brand names and marketing phrases into songs, that sh*t can get in the sea.

Other songs though?  She's got some corkers in her currently limited catalogue, Casual is an all timer for instance, and if she can produce an album of songs that shows more of that potential and less of the pop dross then she's absolutely on course to headline if they can afford her in 27.

Must say, colour me impressed by the Leeds Festival performance over the weekend - very much here for the nominal pop star willing to dispense with the dance spectacular for something more proud of their band's credentials (no matter how choregraphed it also will be.)

Do disagree with the notion that she would be an immediate bill-topper though. There were a few lulls, even in the heart of the pit on our side, though it may well be nitpicking - she seemed broadly the favourite of everybody there and clearly had the biggest weekend of the lot.

Think her team would only accept headline or bust for Glastonbury unless album two tumbles off a cliff though. Ball in the court for the Eavis family, you'd expect, though did hear she earned a packet and a half for these two UK shows. (How much truth is in that is another matter entirely.)

She was superb at Leeds, polished to the extent that it looked like she’d been headlining festivals like R&L for a decade when in reality she was playing Manchester Academy 11 months ago.

As mentioned above there were a couple of lulls for Guility Pleasure, Barracuda and Love Me Anyway but the crowd were right up for everything else. Replace the above with new material and there’s no doubt it’ll be headline material - the live production, full band and the set are there already.

I think Punk pony club and Good luck babe are by far the best songs. Casual does nothing for me. Hot to go, Picture you and the subway next probably in that order.

She'll be booked by BST I reckon but she definitely needs another album before Glastonbury and she's made a point she's having time off after this outing so I dont think she'll be back for 27, 28 would be a closer guess.

Very jealous of those that made it to Edinburgh yday/ today. By all accounts it looked great. She's so obviously a headliner and it's the most people I've seen at the same gig on my instagram since Oasis/ Taylor. Looks like she is amazing live too!

Too early to tell if she would be around in 2027 or later but sure she will do it unless the money is a sticking point.

It's a great cover - just more about mixing things up in 2027.

True, true.

Will quite happily admit I didn't really get the hype, but seeing her has me mostly convinced. If she can replicate some of the quality at the top end - and keep the audience too - then she'll be fine.

Her Primavera set had lots of filler IMO, but the overall crowd response was nuts. I did hear that she's charging an arm and a leg for festivals to book her, so no guarantees she'll actually play/headline Glasto.

Echoed this in the R+L thread but heard it was north of £2m for those shows.

Looks like there was a handshake with her to sub the Sunday this year and at some point she backed away and Noah Kahan stepped in.

Suggests that there's negotiating space there.  Might even be the case that the discussions ended with 2027 being pencilled in.

Think I missed the handshake talk - or I've forgotten. When did that come out again?

Keep Barracuda, it's a tune. Not her fault a bunch of youngsters are degenerates.

I vote she goes for When You Were Mine, arranged more akin to the Cyndi Lauper version.

I'd love to see this - maybe nudge her people.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
