Is It possibile for day One on Main stage go be Kiss Of Life --> Papa Roach --> Little Simz--> Charlie First day on mainstage? Really don't understand why they put load of good names (bands, singers and djs) all on day One. Maybe cause Is in the middle of week and they Need an incentive for people to go on that day... Btw if papa Roach Is going tò be on revolut, I think It Is going tò be 22,45 spot, isn't that the headliner spot?

I think it will be that during the summer the big artists are really busy during weekends with different festivals that makes booking them here for weekdays so much easier

The Last Dinner Party and Portugal The Man both confirmed for main stage

Interesting. TLDP must be subbing Chappell then. Makes sense, but was hoping they'd headline the new tent.

Who's going to headline the tent then? Or is that tba?

I don't know about headlining, but that day we have Brutalismus 3000, Kneecap, Refused confirmed for Revolut (and probably Joey Valence & Brae, LSDXOXO and Hollow Coves)

Putting Little Simz on the mainstage for the 17:30 crowd would be insane, I hope she will sub

I think Simz would just get lost in the mix there, she deserves the sub slot

I guess the first three acts will play before Chappell, against Chappell and after Chappell. Couldn't guess in what order though!

Do we know which Hungarian artists will play on the main stage?

I’d say Elefant, I see no other point why were they announced earlier as a sole Hungarian band. I’d put Beton.Hofi there as well. Not sure about Krubi, he worked perfectly in A38 2 years ago.

Any suggestions?

I’m not good in this, but Krubi is way too big for the dropYard, he’s revolut or main stage. I think Blossoms are Revolut headliners, at least I hope they won’t put one of the few guitar bands to an afternoon slot on the Main Stage.

my last time was pre covid, but always loved a38. i can't remember the temperature being so bad

Last year it was bad. Pre covid they had these huge ventilators at the back which helped stir up the air at least, they are no more and heat can stay stuck under the tent long after sunset.

    • An interesting thing this. Having seem them several times (some of their gigs veer into back catalogue niche territoty), I partly agree they arent Pyramid material (theough modern defeinition of 'bangers' although I could see them headlinging the Other stage) I can't think of another festival in the world that they couldn't headline - Reading, IoW, BST, Rock Wercheter, Roskilde, etc etc.
    • Ohhh it’s very, very good.
    • I'm sure you like silly music too but is it because it's not a Download traditional type act it gets looked down on? Rock am Ring booked them, and they sell every year so don't actually need to   Andy going and being replaced is the best thing that could have happened to Download, someone fresh to mix it up a bit rather than just a complete rotation. The only reason Andy booked ST in ti headline too was because he loves them and he was going on to manage them. Nah, Andy booked FOB in a year where over 20 acts were asked, I'll guarantee if they get Blink and having had Green Day they did not need 20 bands to come to those. FOB are also not one that have been booked in Europe to headline by anyone other than Reading as co-headliner as far as I can see. They weren't a ooh god yes they've booked FOB.
    • Would love to see them headline as well, but agree with Mr Bailey ☹️
    • I think it's just a slight shift in target audience of the festival, Andy also booked FOB    A lot of young people (me included) are nostalgic for the 2000's pop punk and nu metal rather than the 80's legacy bands    It's just the festival moving with the times I think Andy would of done the same    Although they are still booking some legacy acts like GNR but that doesn't seem to have gone well ticket sales wise
