I think this year lineup Is really well thought, they put on the table a Wide range of good Singers and bands, mainstream headliners and good undercards, lots of bands i'm really looking forward to seeing, along with djs. Still I'm Italian and this last announcement for medium italian listener Is Nothing, my Friends never Heard about any of them. In UK they're probably well known instead

Got to be Little Simz subbing Charli. Have Papa Roach as sub and you have hundreds of people on the barrier waiting for Charli who don't give a sh*t about Papa Roach and sitting down and ignoring them, properly killing the vibe.

You can say the Same about Little Simz, no? With hundreds of people waiting at the barrier not giving a damn about Simz.

I think that totally depends on one's taste in music and not geographical location. I'm not from the UK, yet totally buzzing for a good bunch of names. Little Simz,FKA Twigs,TLDP,Ocean Alley,Michael Kiwanuka,Empire of the Sun are great names. Make them a playlist!

I think theres much likely more crossover there than there is with Papa Roach, I may be wrong just speaking from

personal experience.

I always view genres as you have a core genre and you gain a liking of other genres through that lens if that makes sense. I think its easier for a Pop fan to go from someone like Charli to Simz than it is for a pop fan to go to rock.

I think objectively this is a good line up, the quality's there.
While there are a few interesting names, personally it's my least favorite ever, if these artists showed up for a club gig i'm not sure I'd buy a ticket for them individually, I don't know why we didn't get a bit more punk stuff, like Soft Play, The Chats or Idles, but that's just me. I guess I'll blame Brett for it and dig into the Beaches catalog a bit further.

In the past years I could find some stuff like this at the Europe Stage mainly but most of them are "upcoming" artists

I'm wondering if "More to come" means the random circus names or we're actually getting 6-7 pop/indie/whatever artists for Freedome/Europe.

Also, what's super weird is there's still no date for Call Me Karizma so he's not even listed in the full line up bit at the end of the announcement. He's still on the website though.

I know its unrelated but I want other peoples thoughts on it. I might be completely wrong as I am a big Shawn Mendes fan, but there is no way that in Austria Central Cee is big enough to headline Frequency over Shawn. Right? or am I going crazy? Central Cees agent must be working hard this summer

Last year in the March announcement, they said something like “we’ve got a few more surprises,” and this year… nothing.

But I still feel like they could add 6,7 more names, just like they did late April last year. Like, the day Post Malone is playing feels kinda empty, and is Riles really gonna be a subhead? Plus, they  also said set times are coming in the spring, so that kinda makes me think there’s still a few more names to come, because maybe lineup is not complete right now

Even if, to me, it definitely lacks better rock names, it remains a beautiful line-up to be honest.

Seeing elsewhere names like Idles, Nothing But Thieves, I Prevail, Snow Patrol, ... makes me regret Szigets' choices. I believe these were "too expensive" for the budget they allow to Rock this year .. 😕

Apart from that, I think it's a 'better' line-up compared to 2024. 🙂

    • It can take around 30-45 mins to walk from the arena back to the transport hub with the crowds, depending on density. Allow even longer in poor conditions. I don't think you'd need to leave Linkin Park early though, you have at least an hour and 20 minutes to walk to transportation. I certainly wouldn't leave early in your shoes, knowing I can just walk to the airport if needs be (2 mile walk and another 30 - 45 min walk depending on your walking speed and conditions.) Maybe just don't linger too long for the toilet / food after Linkin Park have finished.  It will definitely make sense and all just fall into place on the night, don't worry too much and have a great time. The very worst that can happen is a little extra walking to the Airport Skylink bus stop, as those Skylink busses are 100% 24 hour. 🙂  GFS, ICON and ECMWF are ALL in agreement on the latest runs.... After a mildly moist Weds and Thurs, high Pressure building from Friday... Lets just hope they continue to agree... ☀️☀️☀️
