BST 2025

It could be Mumford if they stick some Cowboy hats on and ride that Country theme. To be fair they would be more credible then some sticking a hat on and cashing in and making a country album.

I was tempted but the Kentish Town gig but when I mentioned it to my partner, she said HELL NO. She hates them, surprised she dooes not post on efestivals. Looks like I did not miss much.

The weird thing about the Mumfords is that I once saw them as a guest on The Last Leg when I got tickets to be in the audience and I found Marcus Mumford better as a funny TV show guest than when he & his band did a song.

Muse please 🙏

Sat 12th July is the remaining date at BST free and their European tour runs 14th-27th June, so they are free.

Maybe with no new material a festival spot is ideal to just wack out the greatest hits and next summer do the stadium tour on the back of a new album?

Interestingly a rumour emerged overnight that they're planning an Istanbul concert in the summer. So maybe they're not done announcing stuff after all.

... unless that was just some social media engagement farming by a Turkish ITK.

Tbf the expectation was more Muse in 2026 with new material. So they'll probably turn up at something next year, if less sure as to what. Reading & Leeds, maybe?

I think Foos and Muse for Reading 26 is a decent shout myself if Dave is sorted.

For all the poor comments on past it bands and bands that haven't produced anything of major note in years I'm surprised Muse are still bowled over. I remember looking at their sets and think at least 3/4 looks decent, lucky if it's a 1/3 now

Exactly what we all thought about on the BST thread….

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
