Genuinely, still think it could be The 1975.

Otherwise, I could make a case for it being The Killers again. Would be... eight years, I think, since they last did it. Proven seller - although they do need to be aware of market saturation after all those shows at The O2 last year - and if you stick someone sturdy on underneath them, it will shift easily enough.

Call it a Hot Fuss 21st Anniversary show as a one-off, and they'd be fine.

That being said, it's four very current artists across six shows over the first two weekends. Surely we are leaning towards somebody else for the oldies.

Thats what I'm thinking surely its another less current artist. Can't think of who exactly but I can see it's probably an older legend act

As a thought reckon it could be Bon Iver for Saturday slot? They seem to do an indie-ish kind of day so could possibly work?

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds wouldn't shift it, sadly - don't think they sold out both dates at The O2 in the end, so they could well be grasping here unless they corked a cracker of a bill behind them.

Pet Shop Boys, on the other hand, is a very good shout. Former Radio 2 Festival in a Day headliners, so there is previous. Again, it would likely need a sturdy bill to make it work at the top end, perhaps, but with IOW under their belts, they've clearly proved their bonafides.
