they have been trying despearatley for last few weeks to shift tickets for Hugh Jackman, guess it was too much of a sell that one 🙂

Yep I think you can safely translate “scheduling conflict” into lack of ticket sales.

Hopefully they’ll get something decent in instead.

AC/DC announced Europe tour and only announced Scotland. And they share same PR company as BST. And their tour starts June?

well its maybe as artists dont need to bring there stage just there gear. lots of artist seem to fit the bill, dates would potentially work but its a tough gig doing shows that close for these aging rockers

I'd say they're out given the free dates at Hyde Park were the 12th and 13th. And I guess now the 6th with Hugh Jackman's cancellation.

hence why i said shouldnt get your hopes up lol

Tbf Springsteen has done Hyde Park and a London-area stadium in the same summer before.

I don't think he's quite at that level of stardom yet, although Fender has all-but sold out London Stadium so he's still performing at grand scale.

Jackman shifting seems to be a double-edged thing - appears he's due to film the next Avengers film in London this summer, and it has probably worked as a handy pretext to pull this after sub-par sales.

Conversely, if he fancies doing five nights at the RAH with his production, sure it will go down a storm.

He really is gonna be doing Wolverine until he's 90 huh

Saying that some are drawing the conclusion that cancelling this concert is a sign he's filming that movie, rather than it happening that because he's in the movie, it was no issue bailing on the gig. Or something I dunno.

can't see him having anything more than a cameo if he is in it

    • yes, but it will be called a care tax...much nicer name...and they will bin inheritance tax which no one likes even though most people don't pay it....and it will be used to pay for your granny. Burnham is obviously the saviour and will win labour another landslide because he's nice northern lad and not some sir c**t from surrey.
    • Hey, I correctly predicted the entire Bizkit Main Stage day months in advance 😝
    • Its just going to be another dementia tax isn't it? The issue is this is going to be seen as a continuation of the labour government that have already raised taxes 1000% above manifesto promises.
    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
