I know, but my head has always been too big for one.... 🙈😂😭😢

big floppy ones are amazing for the more generously domed among us, as they provide some more shade and are also blissfully cooling when soaked in water

Is the white bit the front standing?  What’s the big gap for?  Is that also standing or some sort of safety / security gap??

Some rumour is VIP at front. Then front standing. Then GA.

I'm grateful to have a ticket, but a bit gutted to be stuck in GA if I'm honest!

Ditto. You there tomorrow? We may just take it chilled and hang back whole time. No point pushing forward in heat when the 'front' is that far back anyway.

Yeah. I feel the same. I'm a short arse and was hoping to get at least a half decent position, but doesn't look like that's going to happen now.

You knew you were short when you bought tickets though, it's hardly Oasis's fault? You should have bought front standing if you wanted to secure a decent position.

They literally didn't offer front standing for sale. They randomly assigned it at a later date.

It was a random raffle to get front standing. Pure luck.

Well that's bloody ridiculous.... apologies.

I can't work out what's going on with it. Guess we'll hear from those going tomorrow.

VIP won't be right at the front. Be out of the way of the riff raff.

My prediction is that those first two sections are both 'front standing' with those there first getting wristbands for the very front bit

That seems the most likely - but bloody hell by not telling people that, on top of the previous clusterf**k, it almost seems like they're actively trying to detract from peoples experience?

Does also seem curious that the very front section seems to have some form of floor put down throughout, so goes beyond simply protecting the land from the cranes etc driving around and would be more in keeping with VIP than simply people who got there early.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
