My issue with these guys is the over use of a backing track for guitars etx. Would much rather the guitars be live

Quite a few acts get that criticism at the moment, and I agree, but times are hard and it's a massive penny saver for them.

Some of there early shows I saw Bob played the guitar for some tracks had a negative on the show as he needs to be free to prance around the stage.

They’re fine without live guitars.

Anyway the most wonderful moments occurred at their Shambala set. Introducing Bea, a young audience member (maybe about 12). Who when invited on stage to sing with them stole the show. It was like she was a professional with 20 years experience. Incredible

They had someone really young in Leftfield that they had a chat to and it was really lovely too

Question now abounds whether this generates Kneecap-level responses. We shall see. Who was in attendance for it / caught the stream?

Seems like lots of people caught the stream and have opinions!

I was there, they were brilliant as always. I left to see Weezer so missed those particular comments.  Not sure why they were given that slot though if people are going to be offended by them, they’ve played before enough times.

Think the whole Kneecap storm just further galvanised them.

Slightly incredulous that the BBC thought they were dodging bullets there.

Bob Vylan was the perfect artist to have before Kneecap. Crowd were mad for it and very receptive. They’re always class live as well.
Controversy to be expected but definitely not antisemitic. All the more insane that their words have made more headlines than real-world violence. Will be interesting to see what happens to them in the future. Been dropped by their agent but have also tripled their following on socials.

Agree with all this. Third time seeing them and thought they were great - I stayed to the end then dashed off to Weezer. Find all the pearl clutching pretty silly - as if punk bands being politically controversial is a new thing.
