All the times i viewed and posted on this page with excitement building .Little did i know i would have to cancel in such a sad manner  . My son passed away suddenly 2 weeks ago and i have zero interest in going now . Is there a resale section for 4 days tickets . I have 2 passes (also 2 flights from dublin to brussels if anyone wants them for free as part of the sale , just a name change required) . Thank you

I join the other members of this forum in offering you my deepest condolences.

I myself will become a father in July, and I cannot imagine the pain you are going through.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Thank you all so much for the kind words . We are both in shock at the minute but hopefully time is a healer and if we don't get to this years we get going another one some time ...

You will, and you will have a great thing to attend attend in memory for that will make it special regardless.

I would be happy should I attend the same years as yourselves to buy a round of drinks so you can toast as well and anyone else on efestivals that may go as well. That's everyone else joining, not buying drinks for everyone haha.

So they should, but she's not the one touring the most, so if she does it will be interesting to see if she'll be doing festivals (maybe except for Glastonbury)...

Nope. Given she doesn't hit Europe until later this year though gives hope. She could just choose to do Sportpalais again like she has a few times but she's at the biggest she's been for ages right now and Werchter is making a point in grabbing the female headliner of the time. I'd be fuming planning to go if they didn't grab Lady Gaga but got Chappell exmaple instead. I don't 'dislike' Chappell but there is no comparison. She's got the perfect crossover as a popstar as well to wide audiences.

Grabbing Lady Gaga and The Cure in the same year would be huge.

If we are speculating for next year then I'll be dreaming for Radiohead and SOAD instead. They both seem to be coming out of hibernation (strong rumours for the former and a confirmed tour for the latter but no EU dates yet). Also, it's about time for Pearl Jam to come back after 4 years and Gorillaz can play the role of the non-rock headliner. And then we have a proper RW (assuming that the undercard goes back to normal as well) 😁

I know I know....I miss 2017 - 2018!

I think Pearl Jam, Radiohead, The Cure, Lady Gaga and a heavier option are my best gues. If they are back then I would predict Radiohead, The Cure, Lady Gaga as 3 out the 5 as I think there will be 5 again.

I would go as far to say Radiohead are in that league that RW would move the festival to accommodate them, like they did for foo fighters in 2015.

I hope some cohesion comes back to the lineup. One of the fondly remembered days from 2017 catered well to the millennial crowd with blink, Jimmy eat world, system of a down and linkin park. Compare that to some of the Mish mash's we see on modern lineups (Green day/Simple minds).

Radiohead would be amazing! I also think the festival wants them back given that they have grown in popularity among younger generations as well in recent years.

Aren't these 'cohesive' days the biggest point of criticism on here this year? Refreshing take this, then.

Of course well only have more of an idea of the 2026 mix by September/October, but 4-5 out of The Cure, Kendrick Lamar, System of a Down, Billie Eilish, The XX, Pearl Jam, Gorillaz, Ghost, Stromae would be great. I can see them getting Fred Again if he's touring again. Maybe Oasis. And of course, if we are really feeling lucky, Radiohead would be a dream headliner, but I don't dare even hope for that one yet...

Anyway... first 2025. Looking forward!

Yeah I'm not a huge fan but I see them in the mix. They had a 9 year gap last time, 5 years before so one of the next two for sure.

SOAD, The Cure and Lady Gaga would definitely be my top 3 pick. In a non Glastonbury year, it would take a terrible undercard to not attend that and I think I may attend off of that. Download getting Green Day this year made the Werchter Friday not so straight forward, for the fact that the Download day is better as well.

Indeed, and it's not like you can have them often. If they are touring again after 9 years you grab them. I still can't believe that they didn't get The Smile for 3 summers in a row (although they were at tw classic in the crazy summer of '22).

Yup, it's also worth noting that of the 3 times they've played Werchter, they've played the same year the album was released twice. If they are about, I'd bet on them along with The Cure being two of them. If I'm a huge Radiohead fan but there is no way I'd question them being worthy for it. They certainly wouldn't be the act needing a late big installment.

I would add both Blink 182 and Jack White as options for next year. Blink are on a break and starting touring again from August in America with Riot Fest just added and Jack White stops in May then starts in America again August for one date then from September. There is obviously the added factor he lives there so doesn't have to continue touring just like British acts here.

Blink I would add more so as they clearly do have a run of dates and would expect the early summer European Festivals to be in for them given they did Reading recently.

Give me Lady Gaga, Radiohead, The Cure and Blink in the mix anyway. I think Blink would be a sub though, they played 3rd down last time.

That was before Tom came back they'd never accept that now.

Shaboozy dropped out of Pinkpop so I guess he could do the same for Rock Werchter. No real explanation why he did.

In that case there's a good opportunity to get some rock on the Sunday (not that they will take it...)

So do we have any idea about that gap on the Saturday? Is it a surprise? Or Is it just another small(ish) name that's missing because of a dropout?

Still the feeling is Tom Odell due to the anagram or a selection of Belguim musicians

A friend of mine has messaged me suggesting about grabbing a train from London to Brussels getting in at 10am on the Wednesday. But then potentially a 2:50pm back to London Tuesday as the Monday one's are all pricey. Involves getting a train to London at 4:40am.

He also said 10am might be a bit too early to get there on Wednesday with the hive opening from 2pm? He's only really just looked into it as this is a different mate out the block suggesting. I do think mind staying an extra night in brussels after on Monday to get showered up properly etc and have a little walk about.

But £78 return on eurostar is pretty cheap
