Unfortunately yes. That was a much better and more engaging way of doing it....

Nah. I'm happy with them spilling the beans (and the full poster) in 2-3 namedrops after the new year.

I expect a 20-25-ish names next week. Then a handful of Belgians the week after, finishing with a big drop (or two) of smaller ones the week(s) after. Just a hunch.

Wasn't this literally the heart of the argument to why SZA ended up not being the right fit to do Glastonbury as a Pyramid stage bill topper?

No idea about that one. Don't follow Glastonbury stuff, last time I was there was 2008.

This has got to be the first time in the 12 years Werchter has been on my radar that the Saturday is the last day to sell out

Probably close to that for me too, it just tells you the level of headliner they have booked for the day. You would have expect Thursday and Friday to fly our before anything.

Yeah I think Sat and Sun are normally the ones to go first.   I’m sure with some additions it will do anyway.  They need to add some more good acts to sell The combi tickets anyway.

Roll on next week!!

My wishlist for next week:

- A Perfect Circle

- NIN

- Thom Yorke

- Steven Wilson

- UNKLE

Probably none of them will be there and I don’t even dare mention names like QOTSA or Massive Attack but one can dream.

Mine will be:

- Biffy Clyro

- Bloc Party

- Wunderhorse

- Little Simz

- Kano

Keeping my fingers crossed but not hopeful

I’m sure another forum (maybe Glasto?) confirmed the German, Austrian and Dutch dates leaked the other day and I think it matches that. Could of course be someone just filling in their own blanks of course with the rest though

Fair skill to look at a bunch of dates and see they're made up without an explanation.

They are definitely playing Berlin, not Munich and Cologne. Someone took the leaked dates for Manchester, London, Vienna and Amsterdam and added some ideas. Enough explanation?

Any chance of QOTSA?

in Europe the week later

You’d hope there’d be an act of that size or NIN to support the Sam Fender day.  Whether it happens…..

Honestly very excited now for those stage splits this week (well hopefully).  Will finally have a much better idea of who clashes etc…

    • Yeah, shambles if so.   Also a shame for the festival if it's that rather than money.    Sure more will come out in due course. I was (and still am) hoping she'd do it, selfishly.
    • Interesting that'd be the reason - given that there were reports citing that as the reason a few years ago as well.   You'd think that they (meaning both sides) would learn..
    • I gather the later you arrive the further away from the entrance to the festival you are?
    • Hope they skip the fireworks and the burning of the man this year tbh, seemed dodgy last year with all the reports of embers and this year is drier. Don't want to be a killjoy but it's only a big bonfire at the end of the day.    May also need extra care with BBQ and gas stoves etc, always worries me slightly in the campervan field where vans are very very close together!    Not had campervan pass in the mail yet either.   Looking forward to the beer festival and enjoying a few pints while taking in some mellow tunes in the walled garden if the sun carries on shining like this 😎
    • Haha yeah maybe not the best comparison as Gavin seems a good lad. It was to express how he's usually spot-on with his information
