Funny innit, Orbital still rock my world, but I've no interest in Leftfield and haven't listened to them in about 20 years. Seem very much more of their time than Orbital. In fact, I'm hoping that for the gig I've got tickets for, Orbital are on first so I can skip out and get an earlier train home. Wouldn't even bother sticking around for Leftfield.

Orbital are still making really good interesting music, the album last year was one of their best. The reinterpretations of the old stuff live is great too.

I don't understand the billing at this Leftfield/Orbital show saw Leftfield at a smaller venue last year than i've seen Orbital play on their last few tours.

Also Leftfield I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between them live than their records (apart from the live drummer), Orbital always improvise on the night so no set is ever the same. Orbital also got loads more bangers. I know who i'd rather see headline.

That’s what I’m hoping for

Me too, a proper rave up.

Just thinking aloud. A sub slot for Orbital is a bit of a demotion from what they are used to but do you think they might have taken it on the basis they would be subbing Peggy Gou, who's a pretty big name DJ?

Somebody on fb is saying they are playing Saturday at 11pm! Will the park go on that late? Hope so cos that sounds perfect.

I’m sure Fever Ray on the park Friday last year started after 11. Thought Orbital were subbing though.

Lots of different people on here have said they wanted to play again but weren’t offered a decent slot. I don’t know why they weren’t offered a decent slot, but I’m probably biased!

Not heard Peggy Gou but would make sense if something dancey is on after.

Yeah so did I, maybe the poster is a bit misleading. Orbital definitely make more sense as later night headliner.

I’m quite excited they are playing, I’d be very excited if they were headlining, that would be an amazing way to close the park one night.

Now assuming Glastonbury are going to have them play in the dark, I mean surely.

Does anyone know which night they will be playing?

Cheers

i'll guess Saturday, as a sort of repeat of fatboy on the park last year(another electronic act makes sense to me).
