’Right then Luke, we need you to get rid of all the ones with funny foreign names and get a load in with funny British names, preferably with faces like a sewitt pudding, oh and a few blokes called Keir’

’Oh and lots of flags please Luke’

’Okay Sir Keir, coming right up Sir Keir, anything else Sir Keir’

looks like he's quit the thread and quit the forum. He did message me a few times, I got the feeling he just felt like he was riling people up no matter what he said. Probably needed to for his own mental health.

The thread was at its calmest it had ever been tho

Shame about the timing, he’d be loving the election campaign.  Get him back for July 4th&5th!

Starm troopers on the march

I don’t know the nature of these accusations, but this seems to go against the principle of innocent until proven guilty. I know the same happened last election when the Corbyn choice Tarry got pushed ahead of the constituents choice who was eventually cleared. I agree there has to be a process, but there’s a danger that process could be manipulated.

I have a couple of thoughts here. From one perspective I’m disappointed as have always been impressed with her when I have seen her on tv and I think we need a higher calibre of the labour left in parliament.

However I would also question her political judgement, what is she thinking liking that tweet?

Just as I would question the judgement of anyone who claimed israel had the right to cut the supply of food, water and medicines to the civilian population of gaza (particularly one with a background in human rights law), but hey ho, he’s soon to be PM and Israel will one day be found guilty of genocide and nobody will care because of surestart or something. And it was probably all Corbyn’s fault anyway.

This weird little man - a gentile director of a pro israel lobby group, a big fan of increasing the amount of dough spent on the nuclear deterrent, and enjoys privatisation in public services - is apparently a better fit for a Labour MP (in an area he has zero connection to) than any BAME woman who liked a tweet calling a genocide a genocide.

The UK is so f**ked.

You may question it but Starmer is going nowhere. I’m disappointed in her because it shows a complete lack of political sense, her liking a tweet isn’t going to make any positive difference but gives the labour leadership an excuse to get rid of her. Does she want likes and retweets or does she want to get into parliament and make a difference?

From my perspective she could do much more to advance “left wing “ causes” by playing the game and getting into parliament and lobbying for those issues. She can make herself a martyr to Corbynites on social media, but I feel she would be better being a voice for those people in Westminster.

That's a shame. Will raise a glass to him on election night

Was just looking at some betting odds for the election. @Neilseeing as you’re so sure Labour will win Bristol central you should put some money on. They’re 11/8 and greens are favourites!

its less that i'm sure labour will win, than was thinking the greens won't, the locals have changed my mind on the greens chances.

will be a big error by the locals to  to lose thangham as their mp, she's bloody good,  but still being punished for having the bottle to call-out Corbyn's f**k -ups.

i see Abbott is still doing her martyr thing. possibly better for labour to not let her stand, she'll be a gift to the daily mail.

Now Reeves says won't increase VAT because Tories started to suggest she will. So another tax rise ruled out. What's left?

remove the capping from council tax, so councils can have more funds without it costing the govt.
