I was in there in the middle for Dreadzone as always.

I saw them at their first Glastonbury appearance in 1995, and have seen them countless times since.

I think this was their best set I've seen.

Same here 95 just when Second Light had come out. Seen them at G and so many other festivals as well since and have lost count. Always misses something without MC Spee tho.

The vibe was so much better than last year.

We were saying the exact same thing the whole weekend. Last year just felt completely aggro/aggy, but it was a noticeable shift. I’ve been working it for the past 15 years and 2023 felt like a classic.

That was my thought. Didn't see the whole Glade set but as good as it was it's definitely missing Spee.  Is his health likely to let him back on stage do you think, or is that him done?

The bands statement doesn't say its indefinite, though its inferred that its likely to be.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
