Had a couple of friends see Lorde live in London, reviews were not great. Hope it's not her to be honest, would much prefer Lana del Rey as a headliner and Lorde as a sub.

Having seen LDR once before, I would give that a swerve. Love her music, but her live show bored me to tears.

New names next week.

👑👑

Given that we were all speculating about Lorde last week given her availability, and knowing she's at Boardmasters on 11 August, I think this is quite clearly a reference to her.

Got to say though, if she's headlining, then this year's set of headliners (with the exception of Billie) all look quite 'cheap' - I don't mean that in a derogatory way, rather I wonder if money is being kept back for the final 'rock' headliner?

Are you saying Imagine Dragons is a cheap or small headliner? I'd think they cost more than AM.

Yes.

Although my assumption is based on the fact that they're not very good, and I appreciate it's possible their fee is based on other matters 😁

1 crown would have been enough for the "Royals" clue for Lorde..

I think @activeanis right : 2 crowns --> kings and queens --> Ava Max (plus, I know 100% that she hasn't gave us everything about her Euro trip this year, she'll be back this Summer)

So if I had to bet : 75% Ava Max, 25% Lorde ... and 80% both lol ^^

Two crowns = Royals

One crown = Royal

Plural, not singular.

yeah thought about that, but still , if I had to make you guess a name, I would have only put 1 crown for her, and 2 for Ava .

Plus, it is already known that she's doing festivals in August... would Leaks give us an obvious name ...? or would he, just like he did with Billie Eilish, give us a brand new name, unannounced anywhere ? ..

That's actually not a bad shout. Could have a double meaning, like Amsterdam did in the first hint.

Only thing is, doesn't Leaks only give song clues, not acts?

indeed, as far as I remember, he gave us songs clues

or album names (for Moderat , right ?) 🙂

I think these are all the likely options if the crown emojis are clues:

Songs with king/kings:

Kings & Queens - Ava Max
King Kunta - Kendrick Lamar
King - Years & Years
Kings Never Die - Eminem
King of Kings - Echo & the Bunnymen
Kings and Queens - 30stm

Artist names: Kings of Leon

Songs with queen/queens:

Kings & Queens - Ava Max
Dancing Queen - ABBA
Queens - Idles
Kings and Queens - 30stm

Artist names: Queens of the Stone Age, Queen + Adam Lambert

Songs with prince/prince/princess/princesses:

Princess of China - Coldplay
Two Princes - Spin Doctors
Princes - Oscar and the Wolf

Artist names: Princess Nokia

Songs with crown/crowns/royal/royals:

you should see me in a crown - Billie Eilish - we have her already
Crown - Stormzy
Crown - Kendrick Lamar
Royals - Lorde
Royal - Deftones

Artist names: Royal Blood also possible

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
    • Similar feelings to a few others on here. Not my personal favourite edition but a long way from giving up on it. Felt overcrowded at times and there are just too many people there that don't seem to like music that much! Hardly went to main stages which was the plan. Highlights Ralphie Choo, rusowsky, Gorillaz, Geese, Gelli Haha, The Sophs, PinkPantheress, Dijon. Accommodation booked for next year. Thanks for your company and comments over the past year.
