2000 Trees 2023

I feel like headliner speculation and chat really dropped off after the bullet announcement. Lost hope/interest? Haha.

I think the final day of the Don Broco shows is today so if it was them would make sense to see an announcement soon.

With Gaslight and Weezer pretty much discounted due to other shows, and no sense in not having announced afi already who do we have left?

Neither Don Broco or Papa Roach mentioned any festivals (other than Broco at Reading And Leeds) tonight, Broco just said they're writing a new album and will see you later in the year (when mentioning Reading/Leeds) so take that as you will!

Couldn't see Fightstar as a headliner, but a tour would definitely be welcome.

get the impression any Fightstar reunion will now.be 2024 with concentration being on the new Busted album and tour this year

I've never heard of them? Hoping it will be someone I've heard of lmao

Operation Ivy are a classic Ska Punk band but they broke up in 1989 and never reunited so it's incredibly unlikely to be them. Anways, the money they'd ask for would be ridiculous. If they would play a festival it would be headlining Riot in the US, not Trees.

I wouldn’t rule Papa Roach out

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
