Maybe it's because I know so few acts on the undercard that I just assume they're cheaper than 2019's acts!

I'm with you on that, but also understand guitar bands are old hat and perhaps don't sell as well as other genres.

Sziget press conference will be on this Friday. Usually they're announcing there the stages, the schedule and the last bigger names so we can expect new acts this week.

Where did you find this info?

Some news already?

Nothing exciting from the articles that were published about the press conference. There will be one more price increase,-1 and 0 days are gone forever, ticket exchange and admission will be moved across the bridge and an area will be completely closed off because of the fauna. There will be new new venues and new genres, stages will be moved around a bit. There’s a ticketswap party arena and they will launch a budapest card sziget edition

Is the Budapest card Sziget edition not already announced? Or is it another card?

Very curious about the new venues…

Yves Tumor & Its Band, Rilès, Woodkid, Beabadoobee, Caribou, Princess Nokia, Jungle and Fontaines D.C. confirmed for A38.

Based on the current Clashfinder of Sziget 2022 - Riles, Beabadoobee and Fontaines at A38 open up considerable spots at the main stage. 🧐

  • Alan Walker, Steve Aoki, Apashe, NGHTMRE + Elrow and Q-Dance take-overs confirmed for Arena.
  • some interesting names for Europe Stage: Nova Twins, cleopatrick, Surma, Shelter Boy, Lenny, Yellowstraps, SYML, STAKE, Pabst, The Psychoctic Monks and local bands such as Duckshell, The Anahit, Platon Karataev and Saya Noé
  • The concept of Hip-hop Stage will be similar to Europe Stage, mostly European acts: Audio88 & Yassin, Úlfur Úlfur, KNEECAP or South Korean collective YNC will perform there, DJ sets will take place later in the night.

what does it means ? thanks to the moving in ticket, we can enter the island 2 days before the festival begns, so what is this " -1 and 0 days are gone" ?

They used to refer to the first 2 official days as -1 and 0 day. Some of the stages and areas were closed during those days (even the bigger ones like A38 and Arena). It has nothing to do with moving-in tickets, you can still come 2 days before the festival begins.

Not filling me with confidence that we're going to get much more in the way of indie/guitar acts being announced this year though!

I guess line-up of Europe Stage could save it (a little bit). Nova Twins, cleopatrick and Pabst are great start...

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
