About rap act, I remember only now 50 Cent being at Parklife this year, so maybe

50 Cent played in Budapest in 2006 as far as I know.

In other words, we can erase MTS, Doja Cat, Adele, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga & other top female acts from the list for the "mega star" spot.

I think it's going to be The Weeknd, Eminem, Kanye West or Drake.

I would love for it to be Kanye but I think that may be a stretch (trying to not get my hopes up)

Realistically it could also be a group like Silk Sonic or Maroon 5

Because these artists have already been to Budapest, doesn't mean they can not be here in 2022. Leaks only said there's a big act coming, who's never been to Budapest before. For example, Maroon 5 AND 50 Cent could both be here (but I don't believe it lol)

I think we can also erase Springsteen, McCartney, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones and the likes from the list. They're not mega stars, they're legends.

Furthermore all of these had gigs in Budapest in the past.

I wondered whether it might be them. Got a Vegas residency until end of May and then nothing after that.

Personally, I've only heard 'Leave the Door Open' which I thought was the probably the worst song of 2021. No idea if the rest of the album is better than that. Can't imagine it's possible for it to be worse! Lol.

Hi,

Me and my friends are flying from Manchester to Budapest for Sziget and have transfers sorted. However, the only options on the travel site were Budapest Zone 1 and 2. Does anybody know which zone Sziget is in?

Are you there for the whole festival? If so, it's probably worth buying a City Pass which Sziget will sell later in the year. Costs about £40 for 13 days travel or £25 for 5 days.

Further info here: Sziget Festival - The Island of Freedom

Yes we are, was just confused with where the transfers go as it only gave me two options (zone 1 or 2) but will probably get the city pass as well! Thank you!

Don't know if she is mentioned but they should book Lorde or maybe Charli XCX. Both performing in Europe in May/June (but not Hungary) and free in August.

Tove Lo also doing festivals this summer but she was already there in 2019.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
