Hi!

Apologies if this has been covered. Just curious what the pricing is for food and pints? I saw the festival said it was 'reasonable'.

Not planning on bringing any food, so would like a rough estimate on how much I'll be spending on lunch and dinner 😋

See you all there!

I think around £4.50 for a pint?  Might be a bit more this year.  Food ranges from £6-£10 ish, depending on what you want.  That's for a meal, rather than just chips or something.  There are crumpet stands and places where you can grab a cake/brownie etc for less.

Hey guys, been wondering since the Covid safety stuff was announced, what's to stop those doing the Lat Flow tests from lying and just saying that they got a negative?

Whenever I've entered mine online it gives you the three options, they have no evidence of what your test result actually is. Seems a flimsy safety method to me and you absolutely know at least one person will lie about it.

I did a lateral flow on Thursday last week, and the website asked me to scan the test rather than enter the result myself.

A lot of this is done on trust … for this one you could quite easily input the wrong result …. I would also much prefer the negative test even if you have been jabbed also some places aren’t even checking …. Not long till we find out … festival haircut now done 🙂

Was that on the NHS website?  Not seen that as a requirement until now, just been entering the result

Yes it was on the NHS site. I usually get them done at work and they enter the results, but when I've done them at home I've put the result in myself... until the last one x

So if I do a LFT around 9pm tonight, that should cover me for entry, assuming I can download and print results within 2 hours...?

Yeah, 48 hrs prior to your intended entry time. So that would cover you for all of Thursday afternoon

I feel so under prepared ... hoping the walk isnt gonna be too far without my bike and trailer .... I take far too much shit 🙂

Where are you intending to camp? It’s not on the same scale as Glastonbury, two trips will be no problem

If you enter the gate and turn left and left so you are sort of behind the gate - it will make sense when you get there - you can b a couple of hundred metres from your car max even if you arrive later.

There are always closer places available.

Will see how far I get … but usefull to know …. Thanks 🙏

What time are you planning on getting there?

Normally loads arrive for car park opening at noon and start to queue - once gates open (often before 2pm) the queue moves pretty quick.

We were 100 meters ish from the front of it in 2019 and it took 10-15 mins once gates opened to be in.

We went straight on to the area near The Garden which is flat and got a pitch there without any problems just near the top of the hill.

2ish …. Depends if my friend is ready to go 🙂 …. Or if I convince him to leave a bit earlier … it’s about 40 mins drive away … which is handy 🙂

The advice on arriving from @ShuMartwhich I screenshotted a few months back is the best advice I’ve ever received. Never has there been a better argument for accepting unsolicited advice from strangers on the Internet.

We came in using this route and drove straight up to blue gate without hitting any traffic at all. Once we got there a steward allowed us to filter straight in to the queue of camper vans which was winding for miles the other direction along the road. That was still a fair bit of queueing to be done once on site to get onto our pitch start this saved us a lot of trouble with a baby on board. Baby Blutarsky woke up as soon as we arrived on site and if we had been on the road in queues she would have been much more difficult to look after.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
