I did some research on this at Uni. If local people benefit directly from a wimdfarm they are more likely to vote in favour. But even green energy prices are fixed somewhat to wholesale costs. That needs to change.

In Liberia in 1927 a politician got 240000 votes despite there only being 15000 registered voters... at least the Russians are trying to make it look believable even though to the world the corruption is equally transparent.

Starmer’s speech was really good, I thought he set a spot on tone between attacking the Tories and offering Labour’s policies. The Great British Energy company is a brilliant policy announcement which is exactly the type of thing Labour should be announcing. There was a strong emphasis on green policies and how they can benefit the country which is vitally important.

I thought it was pretty inspirational and is exactly what the country needs.
