tenner?

I’d not take your money …. The infighting has already started … Boris ain’t going quietly … . Labour need to keep it together . Starmer also develop a bit more personality … people seem to gravitate to that . I agree with @Ozanne within the year is possible and that’s if we don’t get disorder and riots . Tough times ahead

She could just ride it out for next few years...blame any shit on previous governments and EU/Russia/China/snowflakes...then have an election in 2024 when worst of cost of living is over and economy is starting to grow and things feel like they're improving and labour divisions are becoming worse again....

and Johnson isn't unpopular because of his policies, he's unpopular because he's a lying w*nker. Now, I don't know Truss, but I don't think she'll make the same mistakes and is the same sort of person, she more than likely has a pretty boring social life and there isn't a lot of dirt on her, so it will be down to her policies...and...hate to say it but tories keep winning, despite everything...so maybe a lot of people like their policies...

and then she'll win her election...and then comes the tax cuts...and everyone loves tax cuts...and then comes the state spending cuts...but on things that are unpopular...maybe get some of those scounger/skiver headlines in the papers again...snip snip...and net zero?...too damaging, other countries aren't pulling their weight, why should we?...and these long hot summers are pretty good anyway...let's review that...especially as our true friend Trump is back in the whitehouse...etc

In short I am not optimistic with Truss as PM as others seem to be. Hopefully she'll be as much of a disaster as some think she'll be.

I’m really happy, this could actually be the beginning of the end for them.

I've heard that so many times before, not been true yet!

well, let's see. Sorry for the pessimism...just old, bitter and twisted.

The only person to be elected as labour PM who was born in the last 100 years was Tony Blair. How's that for a stat. And he was hardly a true socialist peacenik. And now Scotland has gone. It is so easy for the tories to win, just a few giveaways leading up to an election...and another 4/5 years. Most of my life has been thinking this will surely be it, and it isn't.

(and I still think they might elect Sunak anyway)

Cheer up mate, the Tories are gonna eat themselves alive over the next few weeks and Labour are already ahead in the polls. Even if Labour don’t win, try to enjoy the current situation!
