The big revenue generator that seems to be being ignored is the student loan changes. Cutting the threshold to £25k and upping the repayment period from 30 to 40 years ups the value of the student loan book by 10bn and potentially generates 66bn in extra interest payments over its life time. Its not a "link" his father in law owns Infosys. Indian companies are not involved in the sanctions. The guy in that link is saying his wife should cut her father off? Not very realistic is it?

Saying that - aren't we only meant to be rallying against business that is linked to the Russian state and Putin - not every single Russian business and person ?  Its bordering on xenophobic some of this stuff.

I think its just a twitter pile on linked to yesterdays budget. People don't seem to understand the conclusion to what they want is a trade war with every country that refuses to sanction Russia.

It’s not just that Sunaks wider family would be getting richer off trade in Russia but that trading there gives some money back into the Putin regime and war machine. It’s not hard to realise why this isn’t a look or answer from Sunak.

If this wasn’t a Tory he would be up in arms but he is which is why people must protect him.

So consensus seems to be that Sunak's spring statement was shit. It was all about Sunak's future leadership challenge and the next election, and will leave a lot of people fucked.

Yeah it's gone down like a sack of shit. Delighted to see the shine come off lil Rishi.
