I come from a working class trade union family.  I believe in workers rights and enabling the working class to be socially mobile.  I believe in taxation and paying for good public services and would support increased taxation.  I believe in the redistribution of wealth.  I believe in trade union rights.  I believe in free health care.  I believe ever state school should be a good one.  I believe there should be a social safety net.

It seems a recent thing that being a supporter of the Labour party means you have to be happy with benefit fraud and unfettered migration.  I am actually pro immigration for skilled people.  I support benefits for people who need them.  I just don't like abuse.

With the exception of Corbyn the Labour party gives me politically a very good home for my vote.  I don't agree with everything they do or want to do but they are the best fit.

If you don't believe me then nothing I can do to change your mind.  But this is all the truth.

I sometimes like to have free thoughts and challenges my own thinking.  Sometimes I might say the odd thing to move a debate along and play devils advocate.  I don't ever lie though.

I know you REALLY don't like me but all the above is truth.  Take it or leave it 😛

Mainstream labour views until recently. Labour was always a coalition of worker social democrats and liberal middle class. Identity politics and brexit split the coalition and the red walls seats went tory. All Starmer is doing is putting this coalition back together. The liberals that dont like it can vote green/lib dem and labour can still win

Actually managed it last time too. Don't just talk the game like the tories managed to cut asylum applications 80%. Plus the Rwanda stuff is just a re-cycled labour policy.

I get the feeling alot of people here are not old enough to remember the last labour government:

processing asylum claims for Britain there is different to the Rwanda scheme. Same as if they did it in France now. It is so they don't have to make the perilous journey.

That again? You love all that stuff don't you. Anyway not a fan of Mandy either, but not going to throw out dodgy accusations which seems to be your thing.

We’re all happy enough to tolerate the likes of Mandelson now though aren’t we?

Or other really sh*t people like David Evans or Neil Coyle. So long as they don’t believe in nationalising water or that Israel should stop bombing Palestine then they’re sound.

Might be interesting to place the posters on this thread where people see them politically left to right , matiloy , nobody , skip , me , cellar , Stevie / fray , neil , Ozanne , Barry . Lost ?

Haha I love this... I'm not really sure about matiloy to be honest, it usually seems like he's talking academically in his posts so I never got a real sense of where he actually falls. I reckon Stevie is more left than he comes across.

Nobody, Skip, Crazy, me, Stevie, Fray, Barry, Neil, Ozanne, Lost

I guess based on other peoples rankings matiloy falls somewhere left of Stevie

ok, fair enough...I mean I don't care about Israel but not nationalising water really is upsetting.

you know, I'm not sure, but I think I came across you on twatter some time ago. UK bloke living in Sweden having constant fights with people about Corbyn/Starmer/Israel and also posting arty pics of train stations. That you?

People making out Ozanne is on the right of this forum because of his unshakeable loyalty to Labour/Starmer is top trolling.

Also, I am more left wing than Crazy. I am willing to fight this to the end.

Ok that’s a date , although don’t think you got Glastonbury tickets this year did you ? I’m due to go to Liverpool and might meet some Manchester mates so I’ll see you on the cycle lanes 🙂

Indeed it is. Looks like cellar was lying earlier on about me influencing his vote, shocking hey.

Maybe it's just because he comes across as more right wing? To be honest most everyone in the list is pretty centre anyway, but its just a bit of fun...

Although it does remind me of when they get the couples in Married At First Sight to rank the other couples 😂 Just asking for trouble!

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
