May looking less likely again?

Jan 2025 I reckon

There's needs to be a reason why things would be better by delaying. No one can see why things will improve for the Tories

Yeah, probably not...so they will have to calculate whether to go for it in the spring when still 20 points behind, or wait and hope economy picks up enough or a flight leaves for Rwanda or something unexpected happens to narrow the polls.

The longer they delay the more money can be shuffled out of the countries cash reserves and into their offshore accounts

I see Scotland are sending the pandas home as another strategy for indy is seen to have failed. Pandas are worth spending money on, Scots - not so much.

Interesting article on labours plans for the NHS:

Quote

If we just pour ever-increasing amounts of taxpayer money into a broken system, we will continue to get worse health outcomes than other leading economies. And I genuinely fear for the future sustainability of the NHS in that situation.

the NHS is already soaking up 44 per cent of government spending.

International league tables show that Australia’s health services outperform those of the UK on a wealth of measures: life expectancy, mortality from cancer, heart attacks and strokes among them.

it achieves this while spending significantly less on health, at 9.6 per cent of GDP compared with the UK’s 11.3 per cent,

even if oz has the answer labour won't be allowed to do it, because any nhs change is setting it up to be sold off in the minds of the closed minds.

there are many  improvements that can be made and fixing them is often stopped by the obstructionists.

eg: bristol has contracted some stuff out to charities who are now delivering services that the nhs never provided. obstructionists : "no contracting out!"

    • Debut album from Haiver (ex Frightened Rabbit's Billy Kennedy band) is an absolutely gorgeous thing. If you're a fan of FR then you'll probably like it. Definitely a contender for album of the year for me.
    • The tickets for the back at Muse, did go on sale. I know because I bought tickets there because they were the cheapest. All in with fee's, I got tickets at £81.20 each.   So likely, sold out quickly for those wanting the cheapest tickets. Either that or sold poorly and they took them off sale and when I turn up they offer me paper ticket upgrades because they closed the back.
    • She's headlining Reading and Leeds. Not to be sniffed at. She's also done her substantial arena tour since last time.    I think she's a decent bet to do it.
    • The best Punisher stuff from the Bernthal time is probably Daredevil. Although season 2 of Punisher is a great kinda study on what Castle can be.   But his first turn up in Daredevil was an absolute blast.    I thought Brand New Day did a decent job with him.
    • Basement only getting 30 mins right at the start of the day is a ballache, how annoying
