Zarah Sultana won her reselection bid, so Starmer is hardly blocking lefties. What nonsense.

They are falling foul to rule changes that Corbyn brought in, he made it easier for deselections to take place. He’s a genius.

You’ve clearly not read the articles or have any grasp of the selection process. Back to school Ozanne

I noticed Labour slagged off the migrant plan with France while offering no credible alternative.

this is an issue labour should keep quiet about to let the tories put a plan in place, so that  labour can blame all problems on the tories.

Now now, no need for personal attacks just because I criticised Corbyn.

Tarry wasn’t blocked from standing, he lost. Sultana wasn’t blocked from standing, she won. The common theme is Starmer didn’t block either, facts are your friend.

Uh ohhh, Mr Labour party doesn't know that an incumbent MP is always included in the reselection list. I guess thats the depth of knowledge you get when you've only been supporting the Labour party for two years.

The issue, as the articles convey had you bothered to read them, is with factional interference by Labour HQ interference in candidate longlists to make almost all the options for candidates taken from the labour right, usually against the will of the local labour party.

Why have you made this about me? I merely pointed out that Starmer hasn’t been stopping people from standing (see Tarry and Sultana), no need to make up stuff about me.

Let’s end this here as you’ve already got personal, we don’t need to clog up the thread with that stuff.

This thread is one great fatberg formed of the lipid turds of your Starmer fanboi posts. Its is almost only clog.

Starmer can’t stop incumbent MPs from standing without suspending the whip. That is not what is being discussed. Is it so hard to understand?

Now now, there’s no need for any of this. Lets stop this as you can’t talk in a civil manner.

Yes. In addition to revealing his discern for democracy and a preference for the tyranny of technocracy, filling the candidate lists with hard right extremists and blocking even soft left candidates tells you everything about the policy positions he would seek to implement once in power.

Grrrrrr those troublesome centre leftists voting down my spy cop bills

"Hard right extremists" seriously?

I'm no fan of Starmer and he is spouting authoritarian bullshit but that's ridiculous hyperbole.

I mean both sides do it right...you have scary sounding hard right and hard left...and nice cuddly soft left and soft right....and then something super soft and cuddly called the centre.

I'd like to think NATO will hold its nerve on this

I’m pretty sure they will. I think they’ll end up providing more weapons to Ukraine as a result.
