This is why Liberalism is dying. Most people who are pretty liberal still have a few red lines and when liberalism pushes against them they are happy to side with illiberal people to maintain them.

Or even side with sexual predators and rapists because bashing trans people means so much to them

People love it. I’ve got people on Facebook etc who have fallen for the Farage schtick and are going on and on about Trump’s ‘victories for common sense’..,

ive had several discussions with poorly paid work colleagues about Trump and Farage .... just utterly bonkers people think they are out to help them 😞 not line their own pockets

Yeah, it's what people voted for, drain the swamp, disrupt stuff....risk for Trump is if this disruption starts to affect these voters directly or indirectly...but then again he'll just blame someone else.

USA and Europe are increasingly quickly shifting to the right, even alternative types I know of who have always been left. Social media has done an incredible job of turning people’s heads and switching off their brains. I really wouldn’t be surprised if the USA became a dictatorship with the support of the majority

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
