With their teasing from yesterday, I thought we would have some nice rock/heavy bands... We have Fever 333 and Palaye Royal... Belgium...

I’m pretty content with the lineup tbh. 
it’s quite good especially with all the festival cancellations etc

my only hope is that gorillaz somehow get booked (maybe instead of BMTH or something)

I think that is over. They were one of the bands they were waiting for to confirm. 
But this is a nice example of how fast things change these day. In the original draft: Stormzy, BMTH, Kaytranada, but no Underworld or Skepta.

They were planning to only announce some dance today. But after all criticism they changed it, I think they didn’t think it through with the heavy riffs.

Don’t think Kaytranada will travel to Europe. 
Stormzy is replaced by Bazart.

Idles, Sam Fender, Beabadoobee, Squid, Dry Cleaning are some nice rock-acts. In a normal year this line-up would be horrible, but right now I think it's ok.

Giant Rooks are a great new german indie-pop band. They are headlining some smaller fests in Germany, Milky Chance too.

Given all that has happened in the world over the past 18 months, and given the restrictions still on international travel, I think a lot of people were deluding themselves if they thought the line up would be any better than this.

Having said that, I'm not forking out for a weekend ticket for that Friday or Sunday.

Have bought two day tickets for the Saturday instead. We might walk up to the site on the other days anyway to get the "traditional local Kiewiters" experience of standing by the road outside, peering through the gaps in the fence...

No, the deal is off.

There is a problem to get a whole production overseas. Same reason BMTH. 
 

So I’m curious for other festivals.
