  1. Sorry if this was discussed already... I just received my full festival (4 days) wristband. Are there other wristbands for the 5th day with Jack White (should I wait for something else) or we'll enter with a ticket for this day? How does this work
  2. i hope mad cool are waiting for kendrik's album drop this friday, hopefully along with announcement of more concerts in europe. this lonely show in milano (not counting glasto) seems very unlikely to remain the only one
  3. any suggestions who might replace Josh and Mike on the Friday? Weezer sounds like a terrible option to me. Hope this rumor is not true:) On the other hand Kendrick Lamar may be too big to fit here..? If they want to keep the guitar-ish vibe of the canceled acts they could have BMTH maybe. To to be honest though the whole line up is so musically inconsistent and all over the place that anyone could fit.. Dua Lipa, Slipknot, Post Malone, Green Day, etc. etc. Definitely not keeping my hopes up, pretty sure the replacement/s will be somewhere between bad and terrible compared to the original bookings... Let's see
  4. Sorry for not clarifying, I meant the in-between festival thingy. They were supposed to play on the 7th but no more in the line up there. We're going to W2. It's a busy summer though, I'm sure we'll catch them somewhere else:) As for the NIN comment above - no. Yesterday's announcement clearly showed the parameters of the Hellfest exclusivity deal. Not only there no other dates in (continental) Europe, but all UK shows are in small venues/places with Brixton Academy (5k capacity) being the biggest - means they were tied on that front as well. Anyway congrats to Hellfest for bringing NIN to Europe in the first place. They would never come only for the Apollo in Man or the Academy in Glasgow which is super-super small. Still those of you who manage to get tix for those will be in for a threat. When else you'll see Trent in such a small venue nowadays...
  5. sorry if this was discussed earlier... but have "Turnstile" canceled Primavera? They're no longer in the poster:///
  6. I was 100% sure Halsey will be there... and generally the pop acts don't appeal to me. overall the poster looks pretty decent though and is refreshingly different to most summer festivals so far. congrats to the team!
  7. Surely NIN will have more concerts in Europe around these dates. In recent years, they cherry-pick venues so I expect similar, bit exotic places for a couple more shows. Last UK shows back in 2018 were in Southbank and Royal Albert Hall so the current location fits. I don't think they'll be at Glasto. For this Europe leg I expect them to add standalone shows at least in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris etc. but not too many. Usually they don't stay in Europe more that 3 weeks so you have good idea when they'll be here.
  8. yeah, "the leak" seems logical:) AM I think will be there as there are no dates in Belguim on their tour so far Also looking at the Reading poster, I believe Halsey is a good fit for PKP 2022. Some good potential names can be shared with Szitet as well.. Bottom line if they play their cards well. it could be very solid line up! Usually they share line up later in he year though, so let's see
  9. yeah, sleep token would be veeery nice
  10. Well... going through through this tread, Frank Carter and Architects really seems to be one of the most obvious candidates for surprise set. To be honest, I was hoping for more bold or interesting acts... ever since I bought tix for the festival a couple of months ago I was hoping for Thom Yorke - either with the Modern Boxes show or The Smile. Still, I hope FR have some interesting surprises we didn't thought of there:)
  11. Unfortunately, this is not something new for RandL. In 2014 we bought tix mainly because of Chino Moreno's Crosses pretty much Europe exclusive gig in the Pit. The Band was removed from the poster without any explanation a month before the festival:/ I guess such things are inevitable when you're organizing a festival with 200+ bands. With the COVID situation, things are obviously worse... I don't know if Daniel P Carter still curates the Pit. I'm sure (if possible) he'll come up with some quality replacements. Let's see
  12. Spiritbox just cancelled Reading because of the Limp Bizkit tour cancelation. (their instagram) Can’t see how both things are connected unless Bizkit were supposed to be secret set. shame really, was looking forward this gig:///
  13. Well, you know this goes for everyone... Don't know what special arrangements are made for those bands. I was watching this news (not only for me, thinking how and when to travel) but what it generally means for all bands that were supposed to play Lowlands/Pukkelpop and then travel for R and L (Stormzy, Liam, Fever 333, Cleopatrick etc. etc. etc.)
  14. I see the bigger concern in the moment is towards who will be excluded... I also believe that on the 19th we will have the info. Would like to see Sleep Token added to the pit as well
  15. I was 11000 when entered the queue. Still managed to bag x2 for the NIN day after around 70mins of waiting. YEY! Obviously there were more Metallica fans waiting today and the Saturday & Sunday were already gone when I got in. Hope you had some success too
  16. don't think I had a chance. maybe too few tickets left after yesterday's sale. I was 15000th on the queue when I joined there on the second... and an hour later when I was at around 6000 it showed the Sold Out message. It'll be hard tomorrow...
  17. Totally in the same boat. Any experience from today will be very appreciated. Can I register/sign up somewhere in advance, are all tix digital or I should provide address for physical delivery, how fast tickets sell out (is it Radiohead in Roundhouse fast or a bit better) etc. etc.
  18. Stormzy is in the Press release (Eng version)
  19. so BMTH & Stormzy are 100% out? They said more to come but probably nothing big... At least Denzel Curry, Biig Piig..
  20. There is a Presale?
  21. I presume they'll say exact hour when passes will be on sale... Anyone with experience from previous years? All tix will fly in a matter of minutes... especially for that NIN day. Booking hotel in Nantes sounds like a very good idea though. I can do this while I wait for July 8th:)
  22. I choose Rock im Park this year and it was absolutely the same. I was just coming from 4 back-to-back arena shows in the UK and the difference in quality and band enjoyment was obvious. In 2014 they had only two festivals I believe... RaR/RiP and Primavera.
  23. I fully understand NIN for going Hellfest exclusive. They've always had problems when touring festivals in Europe... Reading didn't allow for all their production on stage, Pukkelpop and some other fests placed them very strange in the line up (subbing for Eminem comes to mind). Last time NIN were in Europe, the shows were very stripped down in terms of production and I believe this is the reason they played few festivals... including Mad Cool. If Hellfest offer them to curate the stage line up and agree to all production requirements, it's just a matter of an additional fee for Trent & Atticus to happily discard all other festivals in Europe. I still believe they'll have some dedicated headline shows in 2022 though. Not sure from where the 2023 tour rumor is coming from. Still we will not have info for any of those before the Hellfest tickets go on sale.
  24. Does anyone heard something about Puscifer? They were in the Hellfest leak, but not in the final announcement. Still this day indicated (+1 band)... Novarock and Mad Cool also didn't announce them. Probably Maynard has other plans for next year (insert sad face here).
  25. Can't say I agree... For example: I'm very into metal and this festival definitely doesn't do it for me. Dead bands (for me at least) like Guns, Scorpions, Judas, Whitesnake, Alice Cooper etc. etc. etc. throw me off completely. On the other hand Deftones finally get the recognition and the well deserved headline spot. The NIN booking is right on the money... and if it's actually Europe exclusive, this would be very big deal and I'll buy the day ticket. What I want to say is that as a collection of Rock/Metal acts, this line up has something for everyone. I'm 35 and haven't seen such a ting. Definitely the biggest and probably one of the most important rock event in ages.
