Just been out for a walk, the Azores finger I was mentioning a few posts ago seems to have been quickly withdrawn, it’s bloody cold and windy here now! As long as it gets inserted again in Late June I ain’t too bothered!

Just got back from our weekend Christmas holiday walk. No rain for a few days. Trainers will be fine. Terrible idea. 

As we walked we both stated reading better be sunny and not like this. So still stick by my extreme mud would would be worse.

I know it’s ‘each to their own’ and all that but I genuinely cannot believe the amount of people saying that they preferred the conditions of 2016 to 2019.

By the way, if we are talking extreme heat, Reading Festival was even hotter.

The thing about extreme heat is that it tends to be only for a few hours a day then the cool of the evening returns. For that mid day scorching heat, shelter and beer can reduce the discomfort.

the thick sticky wellie swallowing mud just lasts all day and night, turning the drunken late night or early morning return to the damp tent into a paratrooper assault course.

did the glasto Latino late night in the mud. Pissed and doing the samba in wellies was a night I would rather forget.

Experienced both and would take the extreme heat any day. I normally prefer colder conditions but the extreme mud makes it an ordeal as it's accompanied by wet & cold....Means it's much harder to walk around, sit down.....and find space in a bar 😭
