Biggest question is how they're gonna fit 2 headliners worth of crowd in the main stage field at Leeds

This might just be me misreading the article but I took it as the two Main Stages aren’t going to be side by side?

Do we reckon it will be two stages next to eachother like at Lollapalooza Paris or will they be at opposite ends (replacing the R1 stage i guess)

With 6 headliners I am going to say:

Tame Impala/LG

Courteeners/Travis Scott

BMTH/Catfish

imagine chems though have they headlined before

I think it’ll be opposite ends of the field, I go to Reading. Could you imagine if they move the campsites in the middle and have one either end of the site

They won't do that as then they can't have an arena (alcohol sales + food)

Yep. We with MCR a part of our youth love to hear it.

I love how much Pulp is in that new album. It’s the best combo of Americana and Brit Pop.

That said, I do adore their earlier material still. So much AFI in it.

From a logistics standpoint I'd have thought they'd be basing their model off European Festivals that do 2 main stages, Hellfest etc, but I could be wrong

Acts returning from this year’s lineup, I’m going to guess that Capaldi, Gerry, TDCC and AJ Tracey will all sub one of the Main Stages and that IDLES, Sam Fender and Rex will all play Main Stages too. Could also see Nothing But Thieves, Wolf Alice and Enter Shikari turning up with high Main Stage slots too.

Also hoping that they give us greebos a bit of a run on the Main Stage on (hopefully) BMTH’s day.

i'm not expecting anything groundbreaking from the headliners in a year where most line-ups are similar or weaker than the original planed for this year, based on the sziget line up and that most likely all six headliners won't be male i would go for something like, Liam Gallagher, Florence + The Machine, Bring Me The Horizon, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Khalid

Reckon Capaldi could get bumped up, Gerry potentially as well, All Time Low third down I reckon as well

Sziget is a good thing to bring up, last year all 4 headliners were also at sziget. If this format stays from now on then they will always share a lot of acts.

I really hope this isn't the end of massive acts like Foos/Monkeys etc coming to the festival as they also have to book 5 other headliners alongside them. I really hope the headliners aren't just cheap shitty ones and instead are good.

    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
    • Temperature was the main issue - luke warm at best
