Given POR were Charing upwards of £60 for their Brixton gig a year or so ago I'd imagine they'd need to be a Lions Den headliner for budget purposes as much as anything.

More like PROFITS of Rage am I right?

I think they'd pull a bigger drown than Cyprus Hill who filled the Den pretty well.

@JacquelineS some friends of mine went to Green Man this year and loved it but sounds like a very different vibe. It sounds like Boomtown is a much more intense party with loads of interaction with the festival (if you want it) whereas Green Man is a lot more laid back with a very different but as welcoming atmosphere. This is reflected in previous line ups too I'd say. The food and drink situation isn't bad at BT but I hear was Brilliant at GM.

I'm sure you'll have a great time at either but it depends on what you want from your weekend. I'm doing BT19 but after hearing reports from my friends would love to check out  GM in the next few years.

That's probably not helped at all.

Hi can someone confirm if the festival gates close each night? We had planned in staying in a campsite across the road in our camper but have heard that you cant leave the festival after midnight?

I think you can leave whenever you like. You just can't come back in until the gates reopen in the morning.

I'm not 100% if it's intentional, but if you look at the small video that's doing the rounds with the briefcase in it, and know the story background of each stage, it'll give you a big clue as to which stage the new house and techno stage is replacing.

A toxic zone would be the perfect place to hide AMI's mainframe

So new stage something Arcadia(ish) possibly. If you pause at 0:37 seconds you see an outline of something which I'm speculating is the new stage. Which kinda looks like Arcadia. Also in top corner it says 'Intelligence of unknown origin detected' which could be another Arcadia reference.

Anyway there is flaw in my speculation as Arcadia is doing a U.K. exclusive in London this year. Nevertheless, food for thought.

Oh and the new stage is called the nucleus anyway oops.

It's nothing to do with Arcadia

There isn't anyone "huge", but they're decent line ups if you like house and techno

Four Tet, Eats Everything, Carl Cox and Skream. I like a wide variety of music but if there are many announcements more huge than that for me then it will be a very very good year!

Edit: I do take your point that this announcement will probably be out shadowed by some with more household names though

It looks a similar shape to bang hai to me so could be the new design using some of the existing infrastructure?

    • Avril gets above GC on rarity (see Cypress Hill this year). She drew in something like 70,000 at Glastonbury, so much so that they had to close the field off. I’d wager that she would get the biggest crowd of the entire weekend if she was to play DL.
    • We've reasonably predicted/wanted a bill of Blink, Avril, Good Charlotte for a while 😅    I'm surprised that Good Charlotte's UK shows in November seem to be doing well atm... obviously if they sell out those venues then they should be subheadliners right? (if they play download that is). They'd only look a strong sub if it was before Blink though I rekn.

    • Well Jason Isbell is on blistering form for this run of European gigs, wonderful night in Bristol
    • I am also interested in this. I was looking for past years, and it looks like it has a limited capacity.  I would love to see Ela Minus, but I guess I won't be able to make it in time, unfortunately.
