I take individually wrapped pain au  chocolate /brioche type things for my first breakfast by the tent, one for each morning and leave some in car with juice cartons just in case you get stuck trying to exit car parks on Monday for a few hours.

I take those mini boxed of cereal for kids then buy milk on site (or you could take UHT , but buying it on site keeps weight down). You don't even need a bowl - you just leave the cereal in the plastic bag in the box and pour the milk in - the bag won't leak.

My standard for my last few Glastonburys/festivals has been to bring a few packs of Pop Tarts and a few packs of little fruit cups. Bit of fruit for your health and a big load of sugar/calories from Pop Tarts. Also bought some little Weetabix breakfast drinks this year. Then later I'll maybe go get something proper later if I can be arsed/am really hungry.

Also berocca, paracetamol and dioralyte.

    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
    • Will that work for arenas with seats? People will have their tickets on their phones and needs to find their seat.
    • Excellent new release from overpass today - well worth checking out.
    • Having lived here for 2 and a half years now my take is that security, safety and organisation are just not a priority in Spain. It's not even exclusive to festivals. It's a part of everything.   Simple example. I'm Irish and in Ireland if you assemble a construction site you have to adhere to a lot of regulations about cordoning off the site so nobody can enter and get injured. Here, you're walking down the foot path and suddenly without any warning you're in a construction site. If not, you'll suddenly find yourself directed onto the road to get around the construction.   Life is more laid back here in general. Pros and cons.
