Feel a lot better about my drinking reading some of these! ;)

We come by coach and want to travel light so we will bring:

1 to 2 litres Captain Morgan spiced rum

5 or 6 pre-mixed cans of G and T or similar each, mainly for Wednesday

I'm lucky enough these days to be able to spend more in the bars than I used to and from experience I know I'll always want cold pints in the day. Have taken cans of cider before and not drank them all and they're bloody heavy!

In the evenings we just buy coke and mix with rum. Keeps us going a bit longer too with the caffeine and sugar!

There's some low quantities here, I'm always on 10 cans of beer or cider plus half a litre of spirits plus mixers every day

That's 22 litres of beer / cider

3 litres of spirits (extra 0.5L of hazelnut vodka for everyone's morning coffees)

5 litres of mixers

Grand total of precisely 30L.

For the cost on site, I'd save yourself 5kg of ballache and ditch the mixers.

Coming by coach, however booze is going down in mates camper.  Only downside is they're in the Bath & West Showground which will mean me setting up the camp and then take shuttle out there on wednesday to pick up booze and then queue with it.

15 x coors light (it was cheap and warm beer is shit no matter what)

12 x cider

1L russian standard vodka

0.7L Haig Club (on offer in tesco - £25 down to £15)

At this point im torn as wether to get more cans or maybe more spirits. I'm trying to work out how disappointing the warm beer/cider will be or if i'll get used to it.

edit: i would love to bring gin but its pretty inflexible as far as mixers are concerned.

Where is everyone getting the 500ml Desperados from?

I can't seem to find it in any supermarket, would be ideal for me though as I love Despos and obviously can't take glass.

Definitely saw some in B&M yesterday if you've got one near you

Do you not end up spending the entire festival pissing?

    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
