Green Futures 2017

Just posted an update for 2017 on the Glastonbury website. This area deserves it's own thread. Glad that one of my favourite stages (Mandala Stage) is gonna be there again and the new stages sound intriguing. Hopefully it won't be ruined by the mud this year!

Very sad to say that my dear friends that run The Groovey Movie won't be doing it this year. Love them.

Weren't they looking for someone to take over the running of it? Do you know if that happened or if it won't be there at all this year?

The GMPH tent will be in its usual spot, but will be under new management and will have a new name

Whatever happened with the GMPH Sawdusty? I take it they managed to sell up in the end. Did the girl off here buy it?

I seem to remember they put it up for sale last year- I presume the "21st Century Flix" thing mentioned in the link is what the new owners have called it?

Just doing basic googling, 21st Century Flix do have a Facebook Page and a Blog which contains some information.

I spend alot of time here, one of my favourite parts of the festival, but unfortunately was hit very badly by the weather last year.

I took the path through the trees on saturday night, and it is always quite dark up here. Before I knew it I had no wellies.

Let's hope it's lush and green this June!

Love the Greenfields, so much interesting stuff to see, listen to etc.  And tea in proper mugs is bliss by the Saturday evening!

The Women's Institute cake cafe was lovely, they hosted a birthday party for us last year, I hope they're returning

Dunno specifically, but I think shes generally quite active on various left, feminist and otherwise charitable causes.

Yep, that's the gmph alright. I hope they don't change it too much.
