Don't be silly they have Rod Stewart to save them:ph34r:

I've literally just read that he is playing IOW.

I didn't think Rod was popular nowadays. Time will tell with ticket sales! Maybe they wanted a 'cheaper' headliner so they could splash the wonga on Roses or Roses?

Rod's still very popular and his own shows sell well, but as a festival headliner? alongside Arcade Fire!? i'm really not sure. i imagine most Rod fans will've already seen him at his own shows, and most Arcade Fire fans will go see them at their own upcoming shows

He'll always sell out arenas to the oldies with loads of spare cash. Helping IOW sell out its tickets I'm not so sure about though.

Was on the phone to my old man yesterday and he was telling me he'd recently been to see Rodney, for the pricely sum of £150!

I couldn't believe my f***ing ears!!

which was my point, the originally leaked dates don't work for me so glad it's coming out that it's wrong

Nice, I have everything covered in case, I just need to get tickets. Just had a week off and this week coming would have been better but I'll just sneak off early provided they are on sale Friday or ask to take a break early. I'd rather seating to be honest but it's going to be a get what you get!

Ugh id love to see them but the ticket prices for standing in Dublin are sure to be eye watering :( Glasto + Boomtown + some other holiday + Electric Picnic it's shaping up to be an expensive summer and it's not even Christmas yet. If there's tickets available close to the gig and I have cash then maybe.

I think this is one gig I'm going to ignore the pricing for, the only other gig to do that would have been Bowie. Nothing will ever be as hard to get tickets though than MJ.
