We live in Blandford and I find that on several occasions the weather in Blandford is very much different to that a few miles north of the town, hopefully the above forecast will be accurate for EOTR as we were rained on quite regularly last weekend at Beautiful Days.

On the BBC Weather site you can get the forecast for Tollard Royal, probably the nearest place to EOTR:

Sadly , though in hindsight I got lucky, I missed that weekend. Looking forward to making up for it next weekend, looks like the weather gods are with us as well

weather is looking perfect. A dry run up and then dry throughout, some sunshine but not too hot and not freezing at night. Can't believe our luck really - bring it on I am so ready for EOTR right now!

Latest forecasts are suggesting a bit of rain on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. It changes right up to the wire every year and usually turns out OK.

This will be my eighth in a row, and it's probably rained for between an hour and two hours in total over those years. Amazing. Looks similar for this year - good overall but the odd shower. As paulwa says though, plenty of time for it to change.

Echo that sentiment Farnham, though i do recall a Friday deluge years back pre Woods stage (2008?) which turned the main village into a quagmire for the weekend. Admittedly the sun for the next two days was then constant though

Looks like some rain about on Friday and Saturday night into Sunday morning, most heaviest on Saturday night @ 3.7mm

 , still looks ok other than that.

1st time going, will the amount of rain forecasted mean that it is a mud pit and wellies will be needed or will the ground stay hard...question for those who have been before.

It's rarely rained before but from memory the mud does tend to stay firm. I'm currently debating how many waterproofs to pack, but I shall definitely be taking my willie with me.
