Quark
Erasure it is. Notify the Eavii; we have spoken. Not their biggest hit, but personally I would be going bananas for this

CaledonianGonzo
Blue Savannah is indeed a belter. Their run of singles up until Always is one of the strongest in pop.
LeeGalvin
Erasure at Glastonbury would be amazing. Hit after hit! Anyone not dancing would surely be dead... or a c**t.
H.M.V
I too would like to jump on the glittery erasure bandwagon. I have some sparkly ruby slippers that will be perfect
Quark
Or a dead c*nt. Reckon erasure's one for the rum rather than gin @H.M.V
Mardy
Erasure get my vote too. Great singles band. Think the last time I saw them was very late 80s/possibly 90 or 91. But that first greatest hits collection? Pure gold.
CaledonianGonzo
Looks like they're not shy about bringing out the bangers: http://www.setlist.fm/stats/average-setlist/erasure-73d6b2a1.html?year=2014

Mardy
Hehehe. This is finally it. The act that unites all the right thinking efesters. No doubt some dreary long haired halfwit will be along in a minute to complain they don't make real music with guitars and that. But until then, I'm cranking up that greatest hits album and heading home with a grin on my face
CaledonianGonzo
We just need to convince Mr West Holts. It's maybe not typical WH fayre, but then there's not an unlimited supply of legendary 70s funk bands to go around and there's certainly a case for 80s synthpop being on there, particularly stuff with its roots in early Mute Records. The stuff that was on in discos after disco, so to speak.

Quark
On the greatest hits at the moment. Even fogetting the rest of the catalogue, this sequence alone is outstanding A Little Respect > Stop! > Drama! > Blue Savannah If I can have these lads and D-Ro that'll be my entire year's dosage of vitamin boogie in a single weekend. EDIT: f*ck me I'd forgotten about the bizarre 90s ragga vocals that dropped into the end of Take A Chance On Me. CaledonianGonzo
Drama! has three hooks that most pop songwriters would kill to have written.
The Nal
Not a whole lot of genres I've no time at all for but "synth pop" or whatever its called is one of them. Erasure sound like Bros to me.......

Gnomicide
A Little Respect is a tune (though Wheatus do it better ), Abbaesque or whatever it was called is an abomination, as is most of their other stuff including Blue Spanner Song. Erashite, more like.
CaledonianGonzo
Uh oh. The Wheatus fans are here to tell us what's what.
bennyhana22
Slightly tenuous for the thread since: (a) they're doing dates in January, not spring and (b) the dates are in Canada/USA... ...but Tokyo Police Club are active again. I've liked them since their debut (10 years old, anniversary vinyl re-issue, folks!) and had a brilliant time seeing them on the Sunrise stage at Latitude years ago. Would love to see them on the Farm. Would be brilliant on William's Green, Hell etc. Any other TPC admirers on the boards?
