Have The Specials been mentioned as a WH headliner? No doubt they will be on Pyramid early eve, but i can dream.

Has anymore news on Kraftwerk come out since they announced those UK dates?

I don't know if this is new info or not, but they're playing from the Wed to Fri when Glasto are on and no other tour dates I can see yet.

It looks like there tour dates show them playing three nights in a row, then taking a break and playing another three nights. On this reckoning, I can see them taking the Sat off and headlining somewhere on the Sunday night. Possibly JP or WH is my bet

Ooooh nice one! I'd be happy with either stage to be honest, quite partial to the new JP.

Sigur Ros' lightshow dazzled my little brain in that tent, if Kraftwerk have got something similar going on I will have my Sunday alternative to FF planned already.

Why are we still discussing Kraftwerk as a mere potential? They're headlining WH on the Sunday. Meme it and they will come.

Kraftwek aren't really a party band, are they? Was always under the impression that West Holts booked a classic funk/soul band on Sunday. Over the years we've been treated to Kool & The Gang, Bobby Womack and Earth Wind & Fire. Was hoping for more of the same next year really.

Yeah I've been thinking the same, re the funk/soul/disco bands, although wasn't Nile Rodgers on a Friday one year and I think in 2014 they had Disclosure headlining. Would be a bit of a downer in comparison, but still a cool way to wind down. Dunno who else could do it?

The Jacksons? Santana could be a possibility also.

Less of your logic, boy.

And anyway, the last Sunday WH headliner I saw was Flying Lotus. Not so much classic funk as fancy graphics a la my motorway loving friends.

(Am fully expecting a JP set tbh, but never give in!)

I agree and think they'd be better in the JP. One because it's a tent and their show would be better suited for that I think. Plus, would they really get a big crowd compared to previous WH headliners?

I saw Kool and the Gang and it was one of the best gigs I've seen and they had a pretty large crowd. Huge party. Would Kraftwerk get that kind of interest?

Yeah..They'd be busy enough, I think.

Of the other possible extant funk acts I'm not sure who would realistically be in contention.  Don't think The Jacksons are doing any touring, dunno if The Isley Brothers (who would be my pick) or The O'Jays would draw massive crowds.  Who else is there?  Cameo? KC and the Sunshine Band?  The Neville Brothers?

They would. Field probably wouldn't be rammed, but they'd do fine.

Minus the fancy lighting, I wouldn't say they were a JP shoe in either. Might as well as put them on the WH.

Being real, though, Jacksons and maybe the Isleys aside most of them lack of the volume of hits that Chic, Funkadelic, EWF, etc. brought to the table.

I think you could add KC and the Sunshine Band in to that. Just off the top of my head - they're all well known tunes I would think. Throw in a couple of covers like K&TG and it'd be mint

Get Down Tonight
Shake, Shake, Shake
I'm Your Boogie Man
That's the Way (I like it)
Boogie Shoes

He should get the Burt Bacarach slot. A legend slot for people who are too wrecked to appreciate the legend slot on Sunday. Seeing as Di-Ro has hogged the proper legend slot.

Don't care if the slot didn't exist this year.
