Just off Lightbowne Rd closer to the new police station. I went the girls school, small world ey. Reading your other posts about moving to Failsworth at some point, same here it seems half decent compared to round here.

I am only round the corner from you then really if you are from down near Church Lane and the old Moston Brook school.

The highlight of our time in school was doing cross country in the Clough, when the girls school were doing it in there at the same time. It sure beat going to mass anyway.

Don't mention you like Manchester bands on here. Everyone seems to be fantastic on here, but liking Manchester bands is frowned upon. It is situated between ISIS and Katie Hopkins on the Efest list of pet hates. If you admit to liking the Courteeners then you will be damned for all eternity :-)

I LOVE Manchester bands, however the Courteeners are shit. I'm sorry.

The courteeners are shite. Im hoping they are not supporting the Roses... surely they should have announced support by now?

Last time they announced them the month before didn't they? We need a Roses Thingy!

Although I've had to sell my tickets so I'm having a little sulk about that one.

It is just blah blah guitar to me,  not really my thing.

The rumours were Courteeners and The Charlatans.

Would much prefer The Mondays or Black Grape.

I'd prefer the monkees. To Courteeners or Charlatans.

Saw the mondays support Oasis in 2000 at the Reebok. I was 16..

Id be pleased with the Mondays

(1) Bring way too much stuff with me to the festival. I do it every year, but this year I'm determined not to. Bollocks to things like gaffer tape because just about everybody else has some you can borrow. Same with air pump for blow up mattress. No excessive clothes collection as I never wear all the stuff anyway etc etc.

(2) I've never been up the Ribbon Tower and don't see any reason to break with that fine tradition queue or no queue.

(3) I will not eat noodles from any noodle establishment.

Hard to say what I won't do, apart from I won't be eating a burger or growler.

Think I'll also give Phillipa's Van a miss.

Oh - and no Number Twos in the caravan lavvie.

Other than that, most other options remain open.

1) going up the ribbon tower

2) finding this damn rabbit hole everyone craps on about

3) judge my drinking so that I don't get too drunk and end up hungover, but also with a nice little feeling of pleasantry about me all day (well, all five days)

Can't say I remember that. From reading people's replies to this thread, I presume it is not worth bothering with anyway?

Got to be 'Phillipa' this year.

This is the kind of great/awful idea I can get on board with.

Along the lines of Adam & Joe's 'Stephen!!!!' call & response...

"PHILIPAAAAAA?!!!"

"JUST COMING!"

I was at the old Wembley that tour. I'd just turned 18 and was the only member of my group able to get served at the bar.

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
