what reminds you of being at glastonbury

So I have just stepped out of the office for a smoke and the sun is low and bright and across the road there is a tarp company with tied down tarpaulins so it looks like lots of tents and im standing on the grass suddenly I feel like I just got out of my tent  looking around seeing tents and grass and it took me back to being at Glastonbury.

is there anything that takes you back to being at Glastonbury weathers its a song or a smell??

My 2yr old wakes up if we flush at night, so the stench of the toiler in the morning reminds me of the longdrops, especially in summer.

bonfires in hazy sunshine like a few days ago, especially the smell can bring me right back to festival mode!

Not caring about anything else except where you are and who you are with at that moment in time.

Why is this? I'm slumming it in the main campsites this year for the first time. One of the things I'm most looking forward to is being able to have a campfire. Are fires restricted to certain areas?

Not as much wood put out, not as much space/camping areas full by 12:00 Wednesday, changing tastes

Yep exactly as UEF says plus so many new tents/areas that people spend less time by their tents.

Definitely take your own Henrik, my group is taking down firewood this year, definitely getting a fire going on the wednesday

You can buy it onsite at the back of tbe Other field. £6 for a big bag of kindling, same for logs.

We have a fire every night, every year. Just make sure you get something to put over the grass before you start it. We take a fire blanket thingy. And we always check with the campsite crew they're happy with it before we light it.
