Does anybody know when the times are allocated for those who bought coach/ticket packages? We're going from Liverpool on the Wednesday but have never gone by coach before.

The coach times were announced mid-march last year. You should be able to check which coach you're allocated then, but it's not guaranteed until you get your e-ticket, probably in late may.

last year they came out around march time you could see it on your see tickets account

ours was the same time at 2014 so if you want to make an educated guess look at last few years times and it could be the same this year

i suspect once they've got all the coached arriving at a good staggered pace they won't want to mess with that formula

Keep an eye on where your coach driver is going!

Last year our chap drove to the park and ride drop off, got out and started to unload. Even though the coach had SeeTickets on the front the stewards at Park and Ride didn't correct him.

He didn't look too chuffed when I got off, told him he was in the wrong place and then had to direct him to the coach park!

Folks on the coach who didn't know differently didn't look too happy with me either as I told them to get back on when they thought they'd 'arrived', they'd have been really pissed of queuing to get on the shuttle from park and ride to the coach park.

Hate to moan on a Monday, but on the Monday when you leave and your coach is 5 hours late turning up, dont take it out on the staff, my girlfriend has worked the last two Monday shifts (after attending the festival, so she is coming down aswell) and had abuse thrown at her. Its not her fault that everybody else wants to leave as well.

We get the coach down from Glasgow, I don't mind it, especially the way down with it being overnight, the way home will never get any easier, that's self inflicted though. A couple from our group are flying down this year, they were about £90 return Glasgow>Bristol, which isn't terrible

Out of interest, has anyone taken the SEE coach from Glasgow before? Was wondering if there are multiple departure times that you don't find out until nearer the time or are they all the 23:00-ish Tuesday night one that gets you there for aroung 08:00 Wednesday morning.

Need a re-sale ticket and my chances will be slightly increased if I try the coaches sale first. I will be going from Glasgow this year instead of Bournemouth if my brother decides not to go.

I went home in the Glasgow bus last year but didn't go down, it was full on the way back so managed to get on, as far as I'm aware it's only one bus, and it leaves late on the Tuesday night to get there early Wednesday morning

Excellent, thanks. I didn't think they would have enough people for multiple buses.

That is obviously meant to say it wasn't full, it was only about half full actually, so there must have been plenty people making their own way home

I'm sure there will be a few people on here that have been on it, it leaves from up the side of George Sq and goes back to there too

Just had a really odd experience on the National Express website. I entered my details for the Glastonbury package so the prices but when I clicked for  earlier and later coaches, the prices have gone up.

Going back to the start and entering different times gave me the lower prices, but they went up again if I clicked the earlier or later buttons. This appears to be the same prices as if you'd entered Glastonbury Festival as a destination on the home page, rather than going from the event page: http://www.nationalexpress.com/events/glastonbury-festival.aspx

Got the Glasgow bus down in 2013. Left at 6.30am on the Thursday. Side of George Sq as Mez said. There were 2 coaches and both were full.

Was that the only option available? I suppose that would mean you didn't get in until late Thursday then?

I think the options were Wednesday or Thursday from Glasgow and we arrived about 4pm I think. It was a see coach and they handed out the tickets at the first service station stop.

Couple of guys didn't get back on. Thought at the time that no luggage was a bit weird!!

Dropped off at gate a and straight in :-)

Thanks. Sounds like the coach sale may indeed be an option.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey All, First timer here so just had a couple of coach related questions:

  • I'm travelling from Ireland to London on Wed 22nd in order to be there to get the Seeticket coach from London (O2 - right?) on Thursday morning at 10am. Do the coaches generally leave on time? How long does the journey usually take? From say, getting the coach to entering the campsite?
  • Likewise does the journey take much longer on the return journey, with traffic leaving and stuff like that? I want to book a flight home for the Monday night but want to make sure I can make it in time!
  • Is it generally pandemonium on the Monday morning with everyone leaving at the same time?
  • Does the coach stop anywhere on the route back. I'm looking at maybe flying out of gatwick and it would make sense not to travel the whole way back to London if I didn't have to.

1) Got the 6am from The O2 last year, there were loads of coaches setting off at that time though some were yet to arrive when we left. Safe to assume they'll leave on time. Last year we left at 6am and we were pitched in Darble by 12pm, no queues to get in whatsoever at that time.

2) Can't remember much in terms of the journey back, was off my tits in the silent disco till 6.30am then hurried back and jumped on a coach. No traffic from when we left from what I can remember (which admittedly isn't much), and they don't really seem to check the tickets so if you want you can most likely jump on an earlier/later coach if you want, as there are loads going back to London.

3) No real pandemonium, as above they have so many coaches going back to London they just pack em and send em on their way. Would recommend not completely forgetting you have to go home like I did though.

4) Can't remember stopping off on the way back, but if we did, I imagine it was just a service station as opposed to any other drop off point. Given you'll be looking to fly back Monday night, you might as well just bumble about in London and take as much time as you need to get where you're going, because you will be completely and utterly fucked. Last thing you want is to have to rush when you have no energy, you're mentally fragile and can snap at your mates for the slightest of things.

There has only been a Wednesday option the last two years I'm sure, I may be wrong but I'm pretty certain. I had heard that it leaves late on the Tuesday night and goes through the night, but again I don't know for certain. I know national express definitely leaves on the Tuesday night, I'm hoping see tickets is the same

edit: just found the 2014 bus timetable for see tickets, leaves Glasgow at 22:00 on the Tuesday night

    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
