I had no previous knowledge of The Thingy so thanks for that stuartbert. Now I've seen the light and can confirm that it is indeed a thing of great beauty. All hail the Thingy.

So with the balance deadline this year being 1st-7th April I'm guessing the resale with be two weeks after that?

What are the rough chances of getting a ticket on re-sale? or is it really hard to tell

Only had to do resale once for friends and we got all we needed, got more this year to do though

I've seen the light, I didn't know a thing about the Thingy until now.

Crapping hell. I hadn't bothered to check The Thingy and have made vague arrangements to be somewhere in Eastern Europe during the probable resale date.

There's a lesson here: don't neglect The Thingy.

It depends on if you are available to buy the ticket when they go on sale. I'm not trying to be obtuse, but mean that if they go on sale at noon on a certain day (ie the sale link suddenly goes live without warning), are you able to log on and buy the ticket or are you going to be stuck in a meeting or lecture and don't find out or can't get a signal. Login within 5 minutes of the sale starting and you have a great chance.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll make sure I can be available for it. So they just email you randomly to tell you that it is starting? Good to hear that there is a great chance though! Well as long as do everything right

Yes, cheers Scruffs. I'm blaming no sleep last night for not knowing what's going on. So, there's the resale (last year was April 16 & 19th) which IS advertised. Subsequent sales aren't advertised, and are only known about when the website and links are updated (hence the talk elsewhere about website update notifiers), and it's these latter sales I was talking about. I think it was Monday, May 19th(?) for a secret sale last year.

I wouldn't advise considering getting a ticket in the secret resale though. I reckon you're talking <100 tickets. In 2014 there were 4 London coach tickets in total. It's an absolute last resort and stressful having to be on 24/7 alert. Concentrate on the main resale for now and look into the secret ones if all else fails.

I've got tickets in the main resale and the secret resale before. In fact, I'm sure the secret resale I bought in (2013) must have been the last one, because it was late May. I'd promised a mate I would get him a ticket and got nowhere in the main resale - this was the year of the Stones remember - so demand was high. I kept checking efestivals, but with work etc. I couldn't be on all the time, and kept missing the secret resales that people were advertising. Then one day I was checking twitter and saw a tweet from one of the Glastonbury accounts I follow (can't remember which) saying tickets were on sale NOW. Went through and bought no problem. But as said above, these sales are over in minutes, so it's all about being alert and catching it at the right time.
