Im a huge fan of Sebastien Tellier. He has a huge back log, worked with hundreds of musicians. He writes fantastic songs for fun, and plays many instruments. He is super talented, and would be super happy if he was to headline any night at bestival. But you might not agree. Horses for courses.

Sebastien Tellier would be an incredible booking for Bestival!

I think so, yeah.

Out of interest why are they ruled out? I dont see them having anything on that weekend, are in Ireland the weekend before and I dont recall any form of exclusivity other than Lovebox claiming it is their only London gig.

Has anyone used the shuttle buses from Ryde before? We are thinking of arriving around 2ish on the Thursday...are we likely to encounter big queues at that time?

It's a lottery I'm afraid. That time of day, there's a chance you could miss the worst part of the queues. Thursday in general is pretty hectic at the ferry ports and bus stations.

Im so glad I live 10 mins away from site xD

I'm half-expecting a post-BST announcement (ie next week) of either Kendrick Lamar (hopefully) or Florence + the Machine (hopefully not).

yeah that's a good shout. seems a bit early to have Florence back. i'd be insanely jealous if they've managed to bag Kendrick

Blimey, that's WAY fucking leftfield. I don't really think they're headliner-worthy (and are they joint headliners with separate sets, or a collaboration?), but will probably be fun anyway. I wouldn't expect a huge crowd though.

Oh I get it, Sean Paul's the actual headliner, and Wiz is on before him but has been announced simultaneously to make it look like a slightly stronger booking. I like Sean Paul, I'll probably watch his set.

Wish Prince hadn't died though....

    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
