Apple Music verdicts?

Recommended Posts

So I started my free 3 month trial on Apple Music, and i'm very very impressed.

Only streaming service to have Taylor Swift and In Rainbows by Radiohead :P

And the fact that's it's nearly the entire iTunes library to stream is fantastic, as Apple has exclusives such as the Beatles and AC/DC catalogs etc.. I'm more impressed than I thought I'd be.

As a long time Spotify user, I thought that would be my go-to.. but Apple once again it seems have killed off competition.

Has any one else started using it? What do you think?

I like the suggest playlists/albums that update 2/3 times a day in the 'for you' section - they're pretty cool and have introduced me to some good stuff.

I don't like the UI, the way the streaming service seems to take over your own library, and I can't seem to find a way to make public playlists like you can on Spotify?

I only really use streaming to check out new releases (which I then go an buy a physical copy of if I like it), find new bands and to listen to festival playlists, so I'll be sticking with my half price Spotify for now I think (although I will really miss the recommendations)

Also the radio station is shite.

Spotify does a weekly "Discover" playlist now, which is actually quite good. (Despite having Morrissey on it every week, since they started it :P).

i just noticed that at the weekend, i was fairly impressed (though it's important to note that mine contained no Morrissey - would have been shocked if it did!)
