July-September are the golden months, when we're free of those annoying sorts who want to discuss Glastonbury festival. We'll know it's truly begun when the Nick Cave thread ceremonially take up its place on page 1, and stays there until ticket day.

Nah, July still has loads of Glasto talk. October + November are where it's at where any sane person would not be anywhere near a forum about a festival that takes place in midsummer!

There are no sane people anywhere near this forum at any point in the year.

Quite. I wonder what this year's 'headress-gate' will be. I could pretend I won't be reading, but obviously I will.

Up yer arse, cold hand

Now that really would be a shock!

It'll be interesting how far you manage to keep it from your mind - I spend much of the year being reminded of it. Quite aside from the music there's a degree of development and thought that have gone into much they do that dwarves everyone else's efforts - solutions tried and tested by years of clumsy 'enthusiastic' festival goers and grim weather - there's a lot to learn from it

Of course you're right, frosty.

I will, however, at least TRY to start this year's post-GF period with it being not quite so all-consuming...
