How Much Would You Sell Your Ticket For?

Just been having the discussion with friends and received a real mixture of amounts. So, What is your Glastonbury experience worth to you?

You're just about to leave for the festival, a guy comes up with a blank cheque and asks "how much"...

I could never say an exact amount until the offer came, but I think I'd say no to £1k but yes to £5k.   This year is a little different to others, there are a lot less acts I consider "must see" so I'd be less bothered about missing it.

somewhere in excess of £10,000 (thats 2 tickes, me and the missus)

I've often said offer me 2 weeks in the carribean, all expenses with the kids OR Glastonbury for the 5 nights with the worlds best entertainment... you all know which one wins.

Maybe this.

I went on holiday to a posh resort in Turkey last year a few days after getting back from Glastonbury which cost best part of £7k for the whole family, whilst it was nice I would have taken my 2014 Glastonbury week if you'd given me the choice between either.

The year Arctics headlined I wouldn't have sold it for less than £500,000. Even then I wouldn't have had a smile on my face.

This year it would take at least £100,000 o.n.o.

I can't go next year, I had a SEVERELY fucked up incident last year where I found out I wasn't going, 3 minuted before I was going to set off in my car on the Tuesday night, due to a c*** corporate company not actually having my ticket - LONG story (which I was gonna start a thread on for an interesting anecdote but decided against it), so I'd want enough money so I could quite my job pretty much.

This thread came up a few years back and someone said £500. They deserve to be shot in the face.

This is ridiculous, especially he last sentance.

As I said earlier, Glastonbury is fantastic, but it isn't the be all and end all. People still have lives, mortgages, bills, kids etc outside of the fence that need seeing to. I'd take £5k, I'd be disappointed to be missing a year at the festival but would console myself knowing all my debts are paid off with enough left over for a very nice holiday somewhere and more than enough for next year's festival.

i'd have to make you right here. Would be completely different if the question was no Glastonbury's again, ever.

Saving for kids futures and mortages etc etc these days is so difficult you'd be mad to turn down big money.

Really wouldn't take anything in the tens of thousands. It would get you a seriously nice holiday or something, but it won't change my life. So with the choice of going to Glastonbury and having a great time with my mates, or not going to Glastonbury but knocking a year off the mortgage I'll take the still going to Glastonbury option thanks.

Now if you were talking in the paying off the mortgage on a new home, or being able to give up the job type numbers I might consider it. But for the sake of one fancy holiday in the sun it's not worth giving up the ticket for.
