It's no surprise that result is it? When you have an 18 year old and a 19 year old as full backs. Add mcnair who is 20 at centre back and blind a midfielder playing CB.

Then add lingard, Powell, martial, perreria, depay who played are all 21 and under.

I would hazard a guess that's the youngest team to grace the premier league this season. Blame recruitment, can blame that side though.

in the mean time, herandez scores a hat trick in germany, and ashley youngs sits on the bench...

utd have injury issues, but their last two losses (imo) can be blamed on bizzare sub choice

I agree that it looked unlikely that Utd would score yesterday, but they'd have looked more likely to score with fellaini than without him.

I agree it was a strange substitution, to say United wouldn't of lost is a bit extreme.

Could of been a lot worse, Murray missed a couple of sitters.

Although you are right about LVG's recruitment, I doubt there'll be any sympathy from Bournemouth when it comes to having to field 2nd choice players cos of injury.

I'm sure there won't be much sympathy anywhere.

End of the day United only had 9 players out injured. To rely on 7/8 players under 21 and under, a few of them being total rookies is ridiculous.

I thought the rookies did well, just the experience cost them as the game went on.

rumours are that rooney isnt injured, just that he turned up training drunk...

I hadn't heard that, but I see twitter is full of it.

I guess the stories about Rooney going to china in the summer might have some truth in then, them - tho it's probably one of the better things which could happen to Utd. Based on his performances for well over year, he's been a big name with little impact.

Worse than Utd not being able to give up on him tho is Woy. Whatever's going on with Rooney and no matter how he plays between now and the summer, I just can't see Woy leaving him behind.

i hope they play vardy in the next couple of friendly. him and kane as the main strike force would be the best bet. sturridge has a place on the team, but is too injury prone to be relied on

I still can't see him leaving. I know there is big money available in China, but he has a big contract here with a few years left to run. He comes across as a bit of a homeboy and I suspect he will feel it's not worth the hassle. I think he will leave man Utd the day his contract expires.

Aye, Wales should be delighted with the draw, as they're good enough to get out of that. Surely a decent wee run at it would be better than being papped out in a glamour tie?

I'm over the moon. We now have a very good chance of getting out of our group which is what I wanted. I don't care about glamour ties, I just want us to progress as far as possible in the competition. I'll take this over the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland's group any day.

I'm a bit disappointed in the draw. Wales have waited so long that I wanted a bit of glamour, instead we have a top seed next door featuring players I see every week and 2 pretty uninspiring other teams.

Chuffed with that draw, we've got tickets for Wales v Slovakia in Bordeaux, Croatia vs Turkey in Paris, Germany v Poland in Paris, and potentially a Welsh QF if we came 2nd in the group and made it that far...

How long will this last for Leicester?

How long will this last for Chelsea?

Top 4 now I think.

The next three games will be interesting for them, probably a tougher task than tonight and they struggled for the last 30 mins.

Bet they wish they'd never sacked Ranieri.

Hindsight really, its not like Ranieri's been a superstar everywhere he's managed. Amazed Mourinho's doing so badly though, still think they could reach spots for Europa League if they have a very good second half of the season though.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
