Was pretty empty in the tent for Foals, Slaves had a much bigger crowd straight after. I thought Foals were more popular than that, if it was a rehearsal to headline in the next couple of years I'd say they failed it.

I was pretty packed in down the front, not sure about further back.

Except Marmozets had probably as mamy people watching them as foals did. It's pretty laughable if they're being pushed to being a headliner when not many people give a fuck about them.

Been trying to say that for months! You know why there is no London date?, because a place a short drive to the west of London pulls in about 20 people for them lol.

It was unannounced promotional set, only half an hour long and at the beginning of the day.

You can't honestly have expected them to pack the tent out for it?

Well said! When Foals headline Reading in a slot a) announced with more than two hours notice; B) a year after their album came out rather than 24 hours; c) at a time of day when most people aren't still in bed; I'm sure they'll do just fine. The organisers want it to happen, Radio 1 are backing it to happen, the band say they're ready for it to happen, it's gonna happen. And I'm not a fan.

Behave Matt, it was known WAY before their picture upload. The whole of Twitter and Facebook worked out Wild Horses and there wasn't likely to be much Marmozets cross over

Are they the first band to play secret sets at both sites, out of interest?

Yes

People on site weren't 100%. I've heard things between Chris Martin, an early Metallica set, and Green Day all thrown around. You aren't here, you can't comment on the way this was received.

LMFAO, Chris Martin at R&L? Green Day even though they headlined it two years ago and played the same set virtually the year before?! LOL.

If you check before the fest on Twitter and Facebook I think it's obvious I can! This was before ANYONE got to the fest by the way!

LMFAO LOL

I know EXACTLY!

I feel embarrassed for someone who posted that they'd heard it might be Chris Martin, nothing against the guy but WTF would he be doing playing a secret set in the NME tent at Reading?, you're more likely to catch him doing a Stone Circle set at Glastonbury! And Green Day, they aren't about touring, no dates, live in California , got a phone call asking if they wanted to play a 30 min set 11hrs away at R&L in the NME tent, 30 mins short of the last secret set they did (which was only at Reading), yeah sure. I've come out with some shit, but SERIOUSLY?!!!

BTW, by same Green Day set I mean NME slot, not actual playlist.

I pretty much confirmed it about a month before - had a last minute wobble due to time changes but made sense in the end - only having to sound check slaves kit vs the five piece who opened

Sometimes I wonder what people are thinking when they post things! Okay, I can understand people like them, people want them to headline, MB has said he wants them, they'd said they want to blah blah blah but don't bloody bullshit saying that on a sold out day at the fest, even a 75% sold out day that social media went batshit crazy at the prospect of Foals doing a secret set and then 50k suddenly decided they didn't hear of anything so packed out Marmozets (which was quiet apparently), Neon Waltz and Ho99o99 whoever they are!

    • I found the vibe a little different to recent editions.. definitely an older crowd, less queer, less Spanish.. certainly has something to do with the lack of Glastonbury this year. And I felt Saturday was a little overcrowded. I‘ve never seen Mordor as full as last night for the xx and Gorillaz. Did not enjoy that too much.
    • Not my favourite year either, despite liking the lineup more than previous years. Not sure what it was, I guess Thursday really put the brakes on things. But yeah I'll be back next year hopefully. And maybe Massive Attack will return...
    • E-mail summarizing Saturday - Primavera Sound 2026 Journal Day 3. As in previous days, it's going to be on the website soon, I think.
    • I was surprised as well. I met more than 20 different people on both Friday and Saturday that had come in reusing QR codes.
