Maybe already common knowledge but Foals are definately playing Glasto.

I was being a complete fanboy to Jimmy from the band last night and when my friend said "oh man I hope you're playing glastonbury " he said "yeah we are"

So straight from the horses mouth, if you will.

copied over from the Glastonbury Foals thread. if this is true then i guess it puts their likelihood of headlining R/Ls in doubt. can;t see them headlining Glastonbury myself, and i can;'t see R/Ls allowing one of their headliners to play lower elsewhere, so maybe they will be subbing after all (if this proves to be true, which it could possibly not)

I won't lie, I am going to heavily smile if its true. The fact is, at this moment they are no bigger than a sub.

There is nothing to say they are headers in their own right until it happens, just own opinions of where they are

Headline = opinion. Sub = fact.

fortunately for us all it's probably a load of shite. they've all but hinted at headlining a major festival next year, and if not R/L, where? and if they're headlining another major fest, why would they be subbing R/L?

We'll see, I'd like my first festival to keep its standards, think that did diminish a while ago mind.

The Strokes headlined off the back of one album. as did The Darkness. Franz Ferdinand and Razorlight both headlined off the back of two albums. what 'standards' do you speak of?

Can't you forget you ever went to Reading and just adopt another festival? Maybe pretend Glastonbury was your first?

He won't forget the feeling of hopping on the London Underground, leaving the Reading tube station and pitching his tent right there.

Seriously though, this guy isn't even entertaining or interesting or useful or worth the time anymore and I have to block him.

I do miss the good old days where he use to a have his tin foil hat on which helped him come up with his insane theories & patterns rather than the current version where he thinks he knows what he's talking about and he's always right.

All of those were ridiculously bigger than Foals when doing it though. You lot think Foals are bigger than they are which I think is driven by your liking for them overtaking a little bit. The Strokes and Razorlight at least when they were about were about as big as it got in their time and The Darkness debut was huge. On the album where Foals 'make it', it bombed and no one gives a shite anymore. By Reading next year it'll be the new indie rock band on people minds to stick around for a year.

I never used the tube for Reading, we drove.

You make that sound like you do actually have anything interesting to say. Go ahead, block me.....because someone I've never met and have no intention of meeting ignoring me bothers me lol......little school kid you! :L

Foals seem to be selling well on this tour, other than Glasgow which has an absolute shitload of seats left. The rest of their tour looks close to sold out though. If Paramore can headline doing much worse, then why can't Foals?

Have you seen what Paramore have sold out before they did it? They could have headlined easily in 2012. Paramore haven't done much worse, they have been massively bigger than Foals.

Look, Gazza fell asleep on the coach, missed the 30 minute drive down the M4 and then woke up somewhere that looked a bit like Hammersmith. It's an easy mistake to make.

That does make me worry about what happened to gazza when he went to Coachella, he got lost in the big ol' US of A and developed the split personalityof thewayiam when he came back...some many blanks memories and truck drivers.
