Live Electronic / Synthesizer Acts [2015]

Recommended Posts

Found out about some great acts the past couple years from this thread: http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/topic/175709-synthesizerelectronic-band-help-needed-please/?hl=+other%20+tribe

Double Drop were a particular highlight for me in 2013. So I figured I would start one for this year to get anyone's recommendations on electronic acts with live elements. I'll kick it off by throwing this out there - Dorian Concept Fri early afternoon at West Holts.

Thank you everyone for all of the excellent suggestions. Many additions have been made to my Clashfinder.

Seen very little of Caribou, but it has always been a bit boring for me.

What am I missing? Anyone got any sets for me to listen to that show off the skills?

(I know its probably the wrong thread)

I think he/they are great live personally. Caught them back in November. Found that he could take a song that came across as somewhat mellow on the album and take it to new heights, crescendos and whanot, in the live setting. Maybe give this a try to see if it's for you.

Watching DJ's leaves me cold. Caught Dorian Concept as support to The Cinematic Orchestra one time. Never forgot it, he makes electro interesting & will be making my way there Fri :)

I'm more excited about Caribou this year than anyone else. The Sun will be going down after a scorcher of a day. They will start to play Sun and at that moment, nothing else will matter. Ethereal Electronic bliss. God I can't wait.

I find it dull too - it's not exactly 'dance' music is it? (This is as someone who has seen them live too, supporting Radiohead.)

Thats ace that mate. Never heard of them before, thank you for posting.

On an electronic synth  tip, I really hope Hurts play. There is not much love for them on here but I think they are fantastic. I am pretty gobsmacked that they don't seem to be playing any festivals at all.
